One verse from the Holy Scriptures covers the jest of this thread, "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who put darkness for light, and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" -- Isaiah 5:20

Its a sad state of affairs when one propagates the false message that punishing a child for doing wrong is evil. Its much better to use some type of punitive treatment while they are young than allow their actions to continue into adulthood where prison or death awaits what could have been corrected by righteous parenting. A good spanking does nothing but instill fear, respect and empathy for their fellowman....something that is dearly lacking on the left side of this nation

Christians are advised to, "...save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh." -- Jude 23 Its also sad that today there are so many people that have not been taught the difference between good and evil....or even know what good or evil is. Anyone that professes to be Christian should, "..abhor what is evil and cling to what is good." -- Romans 12:9

There are so many that don't have a moral compass to lose...anything goes under the pretense that each person is his/her own god and judge. They have corrupted the true message in the Holy Scriptures. Example: even those professing to be Christians have diluted the scriptures and changed the contextual message to suit and appease everyone, they don't wish to offend anyone by speaking and pointing out the truth delivered by God in the Holy Scriptures.

They have attempted to redefine the Biblical meaning of Compassion and Love. Compassion now means Tolerance...even for something they know is wrong and evil....compassion now means diversity and acceptance of false religions. They made everything so politically correct that punishment of a child is not allowed for engaging in actions that has the potential to be harmful to self or others....a Christian is not supposed to take issue with anyone (according to the leftists)....a Christian is not supposed to condemn or pronounce something unacceptable for any type of behavior confronted....no matter how wicked that behavior might be.

And the flip side of that same record? If one cannot distinguish what is wicked or evil behavior....just how are they supposed to know good? The evidence is this thread. Its a simple message found in the holy scriptures.....if one is not loved, one is not chastised into correctness.

"My son, do not despise the chastising of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the Lord Loves.....HE CHASTENS AND SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES." -- Hebrews 12:5-6

SCOURGE: a whip used to punish wrongdoing.

On a different note: Speaking of love and chastisement...I, like all teens was rebellious to any type of authority? Why? I knew everything and no one could correct someone that knows everything, the typical teen.

Something funny happened after I was invited to an extended vacation by my rich Uncle (Sam). I was overseas for almost a year until circumstances dictated that I return to the states for an extended hospital stay and a few months of physical rehab. Upon discharge from the military hospital I arranged a long overdo 30 day leave of absence to visit with my family and friends back home.

The strangest thing had happened to both my parents....while I was away, you would not believe what they had learned in relation to being wise....I once thought of them as overbearing authoritarians...now everything out of their mouths was laced with wisdom and I clung to every word of warning about the ways of the world. What happened, who changed? Who grew into adulthood while I was away? Was it them that changed....or, did I finally come to accept the fact that children only think they know everything when the reality that surrounds them points out a fact of nature....

They (my parents) had experienced the same life lessons that I had, they had been where I had been already....but I fell well short in experiencing the life lessons that they had actually lived and was attempting to pass on to me, (I had not yet lived long enough to accumulate their combined wisdom)...not because they were authoritarians but because THEY LOVED ME and did not wish me to come to any harm along live's journey.

Its a lesson that can't be taught (only lived and experienced).....only the teacher of wisdom can deal out that lesson...TIME and the personal experience of FAILURE that gestates WISDOM.

This was a test and the phony "Christians" here at JPP failed miserably just like I knew they would.

All they had to do was condemn Robertson's ignorant comments, but as usual, they chose instead to attack the messenger.

Phony "Christians" like to look down their noses at Muslims and cluck cluck about how it isn't a "religion of peace" since more rank and file Muslims don't denounce violence by radicals.

Here we have a chance to watch REAL Christians put their money where their mouths are and denounce the teachings of a radical Christian, and the ONLY one to step up was RANA.

You depend upon the thinking of others in order to attempt to justify your own failings. :) If the scriptures were not "infallible" you should have no problem proving them to be in error via objective testable evidences. Thus far....for the humptenth attempt you attempt to use a shopping list of failed accusations to disprove something that you can't disprove. No one can disprove a negative argument....ie., an argument based upon your own personal ignorance. You know nothing of the Holy Scriptures or the truthful contextual delivery thereof.

Again...nothing. No, I don't claim the Bible is the word of God, I know its the word of God, I have to prove nothing. Its your negative argument that states No its not....but you can't prove your negative. Its your Claim that you need to demonstrate to be true. As for me I do not profess to write anything in the Bible, I only accept the recorded eye witness testimonies of those who did. Now Prove them to be lying.

Truth is established via the eyewitness of 3 or more. Its prima facie truth beyond the reason of doubt. What have you presented to make any sane person doubt those eyewitness accounts? Nothing.

Now prove your negative, NOPE its not true....all those witnesses (some 30 + over a 35 hundred period from a dozen different countries). Prove them wrong in an objective, testable, scientific method. Its your tail to chase...not mine, as I am not responsible for YOUR DISBELIEF or lack of faith...you are, thus you must have something more than NOPE to base your false premise upon.
