Christianity is on the decline in America.

WOW! Is there any race you like? "Wops" are one of the most advanced modern civilizations the world has known. Before Italians came to North America they were living in straw huts.lol I think it was a combination. yes a reason was because Catholics were being discriminated upon(if I am not mistaken for insurance) They started off selling car insurance for Catholics(Correct me if I am wrong).

Well the Mafia is just muscle for the true people that run the world. The elites. The global banker and investors. Actually they forbid anyone with a criminal record because it is bad for their image. Even in the higher levels of the Mafia. If you have a criminal record you are denied membership.

I don't have anything against the lazy Italians. I just figure that if I am going to drop Frog, Kraut, etc., that I should drop Wop (LOL) as well. Personally, I consider myself to be Graeco-Roman and English rather than Germano-Slav and Celt, because it is from those ancestral lines that I draw my culture. I probably have a little Greek in me because my Slovenian ancestors were practicing Greek Orthodox rather than Catholics.

The Knights aren't involved in Car Insurance, because it isn't considered essential. The modern day KofC Life Insurance program began as a fund which provided for the families of deceased members, and for members fallen on hard times. Today, we have the Insurance, plus a $2000 death benefit for all members. Councils are then free to dispense any futher aid that they can afford and view as necessary.

Really ?......guess they didn't like all that advancement.....most of them are still living in the Dark Ages......covering up women like they are too fuckin' ugly to set eyes on, stoning people buried up to heads, circumcising young girls, chanting 5 times a day like superstitious fools....

Covering up women, stoning, female circumcision are cultural practices that didn't start with Islam. And I guess you think contemplative orders of monks and nuns are superstitious fools, too.

I find Joseph Campbell, Jung, Huxley, Hume, Thomas Paine, the Vedas, Tao, Confucious and Aesop to name a few as my sources of wisom. The Bible has some good thoughts, but it has a lot of bad, too.

Each of us discerns what is our truth, what resonants with us and what we hold to keep true to ourselves. I was passionate about my Christianity in my 30's, but I was fearful, had a young family and didn't want to die. Now, I am older, have faced death and am no longer afraid to die. I try to enjoy the here and now instead of focusing on the future and the what ifs. I also have tried to expand my horizons, in doing so, whati once accepted as true is no longer true or me. The majority of my family still clings to what sustained them their whole lives and that is wonderful because it works for them, but I would not be true to myself if I tried to fake that it still worked for me.

Hume sucks.

Those "lazy Italians" are some of the hardest working people you will ever meet. Maybe some of their spoiled off spring can be identified as "lazy'' but for the most part they are hard workers and ambitious.

I take it that there are not too many Italians at your branch? I doubt you'd be taking like that face to face. ;)

Oh ok. I recalled it had to do with Insurance of some sort.

I do know this, it is one of the reasons I am no longer Christian, it is all man made.

Context is important when discussing religious practices and beliefs. I was shocked when I read some of the thing John Chrysostomos said about Jews.

"With regard to St. John Chrysostomos, there are certainly very harsh condemnations of the Jews in his writings. In the most commonly cited of these, he calls the Jews "pigs" and associates them with drunkenness...

As I have said, these things must be put in the context of the hostility which Jews themselves had against Christians and the fact that the Christian Fathers found abhorrent the rejection of the Messiah by the Jews. St. John's statements are expressions of theological and "ideological" (if I may use this somewhat inappropriate modern term) outrage, not of racism..."

And Jerusalem's beliefs brought different ideas to them. It works both ways. They influenced each other. The Book of Genesis seems to be made up of different sources. Though most of the Bible is in regards to the History of the Jews. The Books of wisdom(Like Proverbs and Ecclesiastes) seem to be inspired by a myriad of sources. Solomon himself must have had access to all the books of wisdom(including foreign) in his time. And was able to create his own philosophies as a result.

The question is. Did all the wisdom have a single source? Did one culture advance much more quickly then the others? Or did they merge a few and come up with a universal one?

Apparently they are from 2 B.C. right before the birth of Jesus. Funny how they are not mentioned in the Bible. Which brings me to believe they may have came about AFTER the birth of Jesus. They seem to be very Christian in nature indeed.

The word does not appear to be of Hebrew origin. Some identify the word Essene with Issani. Jesus is known as Isa to many. And Issani would be one who follows Isa(Jesus). Known Essenes were Judas, Simon, John(Apostle names).

I highly doubt that Jesus was inspired by eastern philosophies. And the ground you stated is just gross speculation with no real evidence to the claim.

Furthermore the only other mention of another sect at the time is the sect of the Nazarenes.

Acts 24:4-6

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
4 But, that I may not weary you any further, I beg you to grant us, by your kindness, a brief hearing. 5 For we have found this man a real pest and a fellow who stirs up dissension among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes. 6 And he even tried to desecrate the temple; and then we arrested him. We wanted to judge him according to our own Law.

Apparently indicating that St. Paul was not only a Pharisee but a Nazarene. Whether this is in regards to the Nazarene sect of old(he made a vow to not cut his hair). Or with the emerging Nazarene sect from Nazareth(Christianity).I'd have to further study it.

Italians are universally recognized as the laziest people in the West. There's even an awesome t-shirt which reads:

HEAVEN IS... Where the police are British, the chefs are Italians, the mechanics are Germans, the lovers are French, and everything is run by the Swiss
HELL IS... Where the police are Germans, the chefs are British, the mechanics are French, the lovers are Swiss, and everything is run by the Italians

For lazy people? They sure own the biggest homes in the neighborhood. I bet they all must be gangsters.lol Nope! Most broke their backs in construction and payed for their kid's education to be successful business men.

Plus! Most Italian mom's from the old country could probably whoop your ass in a fight(from years of working in the fields). Not bad for a lazy people!

If they were all gangsters, they probably wouldn't be called lazy, now, would they?

What kind of an answer is that? I'm waiting for you to explain to me why Italians traditionally are more successful then most other folks? It isn't because of laziness, that's for sure. You have to understand the Italian culture. It is very competitive. If someone in the neighborhood buys something they all have to buy something. If someone moves to a bigger house, then they all move to a bigger house. If someone has a huge wedding for her daughter, they have to top it.

Unfortunately this way of life has contaminated even North America.....Before the Italians came, the Canadians were content living a simple existence. Now its all go go go.

Italians are one of the most vain nations and they adore luxury items.

Nice try at your spin, but Its irrelevant who and when they started.....whats relevant is, these pinheads are STILL practicing the barbarism.....

Incidently, only idiots would have an argument about what nationality are the laziest people.....

Italy had its heyday a long time ago. Militarily, it has never been what it was in Roman times, prompting Emperor Napoleon III to famously ask "Italy wants an alliance - has she lost another battle?" Economically, it hit its zenith under the city-state republics of the middle ages and the early modern period. In the modern world, Italy has never been particularly important. Yes, there has been internal wealth in the hands of extravagent aristocrats, and the Italians are highly fashionable people. Italy is on par with France when it comes to fine wines, breads, and cheeses (and since Italians are cooler than the French, I prefer to patron their foods), for example.

That said, it is a country notorious for its laziness. Nothing runs on time, men are living at home into their thirties, and most towns operate in their own little bubble without much concept of keeping up with the world. This is going to be problematic for Italy, who is suffering along with the rest of Europe, and is essentially in the position of Spain and Greece (not quite as bad, but not far behind).

What does this have to do with your accusation that Italians are lazy?LOL Answer me why in North America? Italians traditionally are more successful. Mobsters or non-mobsters?

Do you really want to know something about the Roman Empire? It never fell. It just changed hosts. Britain(still an arm of the Empire) broke free of it's influence. Therefore it became divided but it did not fall. It's just living under another name. And chose another host country as its base. Britain. Now that base has moved to America.(The 8th beast out of the 7th).

Italy is no longer the seat of the empire but the empire is alive and well.

Napoleon was financed by free masonry. He attacked the Church and wanted to strip the Pope of his powers but fortunately for the Pope? Much of the French people were devout Catholics and Napoleon had to bargain with the Pope.

Heck the Freemasons even financed the Ottoman empire.

A country notorious for laziness? State your source! Nothing ran on time? Didn't Mussolini make sure the trains ran on time?lol Men that live at home until they are thirties? You jealous? I remember all the Canadians(white ones) that got kicked out of their homes when they were 16. They used to tell us that we are not real men till we move out of our parents homes. They meant real slaves.lol They were just jealous! They struggled while the Italians partied it up and saved their money to invest in homes, businesses or both.lol Back in the day people had land and they wouldn't move out of their homes at all. They would build next to their parents. There was no need for old age homes. Every southern male in Italy has the skills to build a home from the foundation on up! They were far from lazy!

You are so clueless it is not funny. They say northern Italy has a much higher standard of living then in North America, the south is less developed and poorer. That is why Italy's mafia culture comes from the south.

Silly boy. All those countries suffer because of corruption/greed. Not because of laziness.
