“Remember, Donald Trump has been talking for months about Joe Biden as [being] mentally shot, a captive of the left," Wallace said during Fox News special coverage of the Democratic National Convention. I thought that he blew a hole, a big hole, in that characterization."

“It seems to me that after tonight, Donald Trump will have to run against a candidate, not a caricature," Wallace added.“

“In his remarks, Biden cited four major crises facing America: the coronavirus pandemic, the accompanying economic downturn, climate change and the demands for racial justice from communities who, as he put it, "know the injustice of a knee on the neck."

Look at polls, even the public things he is not mentally there. Do you really think this one speech negates all that? He can't speak contemporaneously without getting lost. He never takes off the cuff questions from reporters.

My mother had dementia, she would not have been able to give that speech, she would have wondered off the stage.

The diagnosis generally comes, I am told, when you can't remember the year or who is the present potus. Basic facts of such universal
knowledge that lack of it indicates a wholesale absence of situational awareness in space and time. No, Biden is not close.

My grandmother thought I was Johnny Carson on my last visit to her before she died. :) Needless to say she had never been so happy to see me.

I swear, it's like you guys just started watching Biden.

Biden is who he ALWAYS WAS. Which is actually a very articulate and knowledgeable guy, who sticks his foot in his mouth once in awhile (and that actually gets overplayed because righties hyperventilate whenever he does).

You blew it w/ his speech. The months of "dementia Joe" backfired on you, in a big way. And you'll do the same w/ the debates, because he'll show up and be absolutely fine in them. You realize he did a bunch of them in the primaries, right? And held his own? He didn't win them, but he was fine. He'll actually run circles around Trump on the issues, though Trump will probably have more soundbyte lines.
