China tariff on USA at 10%

China has become a major supplier of pharmaceutical imports to the US, with a significant increase in imports between 2020 and 2022. The US imported billions of dollars worth of pharmaceuticals from China, including packaged medicaments, vaccines, blood, organic cultures, bandages, and organs.

Basic thyroid or blood pressure medications might finally be put into pill form in an Indian lab and sold under an Indian brand like Cipla. But the organic compounds, or key starting materials, mostly come from China. China is also a key supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). As a result, the U.S. generic drug market is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese and Indian drug makers.

There is also the matter of so called American made drugs that rely on inputs that come from China and/or India....making our drug supply 100% American would take a shit ton of money and a lot of years.

Also I have been told that a lot of what comes out of India, to include precursors, rely on inputs that come from China, as you say.

Oh! Dutch made a sock! Funny! :ROFLMAO:
Wtf ever that is..is something @Dutch Uncle would know and not too many other people. :ninja:

If you were smarter, Wolverine, you'd realize I don't need socks to get inside your head. I'm fine with a single account.

Nice picture of your hero, Matt. Here's another:

Yes, our drug makers moved their manufacturing to other countries. That is what they do.

So your idea is to make every Chinese made product Americans buy, unaffordably expensive?

And given the amount of Chinese goods Americans buy, how well do you think the voting public will like that?

Dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Oversimplification of a complex issue.

The average Chinese consumer still wouldn't be able to afford many American made goods because they are too expensive due the high production costs in the US.

Irrelevant to the topic, fucktarded trumper shitbag.
It's the dumbest thing you've ever heard because youre a retarded donkey fucker. Supply and demand ass wipe.

And if you weren't such a retarded redneck cow fucker you'd understand that the demand for American made goods in China is nowhere near the demand for Chinese made goods in America.

Compounding your stupidity, is your uneducated ignorance regarding how much more expensive American goods are, made even more costly when shipping transport costs are factored in, vs the lower average income of the Chinese population.

Let me try to break it down to your dumbass redneck 10th grade education level ...

Get it, Cletus?

sorry you are too stupid to follow

let me explain. inflation is measured in terms of a rise in the cost of goods and services

if it was not for slave labor and illegal immigrant labor - prices for goods and services would be much higher. your gods of central planning like to brag about these inflation figures - so they also like to benefit from slave labor economics
Inflation has but one cause: fiat currency. In the case of the U.S., the Federal Reserve...printing money faster than wealth created by capitalism.

The Federal Reserve and it's fiat money is itself unconstitutional (see Article I). However, like ANY currency, people accept it.

No currency can be forced upon anyone. ALL currencies are only of value because people accept using it to conduct transactions.

ALL currency has a value (you can conduct transactions with it), and a unit of account (you can set a price with it). That is the very definition of a currency. It doesn't matter if it's gold, silver, tea leaves, pieces of fiat paper, pretty shells, etc.

Gold has been in use for thousands of years as a currency. It doesn't corrode easily, it is easily measured for purity and weight, can carries a lot of value for little weight.

Silver also has a long history as a currency. It is less valuable than gold, and even though it tarnishes easily, it is again easily checked for purity and weight. If both gold and silver are used (as in the United States), silver is used for day to day transactions while gold is used for larger transactions.

That is, until fiat paper was unconstitutional instituted by FDR who stole the gold, and built Fort Knox to house it in.
