America and the West are dying, the Chinese can wait us out for as long as they want, but they wont wait too long, Taiwan is coming up on the To-Do list.

Both are full of Han Chinese already. Most of the non-Han Chinese in Hong Kong were British citizens with strong connections back to England, so went home when Hong Kong was handed over. When the Nationalists retreated to Taiwan, they flooded the island with Han Chinese... But Han Chinese were the majority even before then.

I found these statistics to help you out: Hong Kong is 92.2% Han Chinese, and Taiwan is 95+% Han Chinese (exact statistics in Taiwan are a little hard, because it is a touchy subject).

You cant be as dumb as you act.....the question is to what extent the CCP will do population exchange in Hong Kong and/or Taiwan like they have done in Tibet.

So far, the Chinese have been terrified of swamping Hong Kong with immigrants from the Mainland, and have banned most movement into Hong Kong. The point of moving Chinese speakers into Tibet is to force Chinese culture onto Tibet. Both Hong Kong and Taiwan already have Chinese culture.

That being said, an invasion of Taiwan (if successful) would be bloody, and might leave the island empty.

Hong Kong is still in the early stages of re-education, it is too early to know what the CCP will do re population exchange, that comes after re-education is largely complete.

Hong Kong is EXPENSIVE. It would cost a fortune to move a bunch of Mainland Chinese into Hong Kong. China does not want to spend that type of money. I do not blame them.

And even if they did, land is extremely limited. Imagine trying to double the population of Manhattan... Actually, you probably cannot even imagine Manhattan, so you will not get my point.

Tibet is underpopulated and cheap. It saves the Chinese money to move people there.

They have not made any direct threats, and have often made some noise about what they consider to be a slight, and then moved on. Our navy sails between China and Taiwan on a regular basis. The Chinese make a bit of noise, and then move on.

The wealthier Hong Kong inhabitants are moving to Singapore. My son knows that very well as apartments rents have increased a lot because of them.
