Anyone follow this? I'm speaking as an outsider but seeing a progressive, Brandon Johnson, win in Chicago normally isn't surprising. But I was somewhat surprised that they voted out the incumbent progressive to replace her with another progressive, instead of a more moderate Democrat (Paul Vallas). Anyone with insights?

Valas was never a moderate, he leaned far more to being a conservative.
