Cherokee Nation SAVAGES Elizabeth Warren in Statement After Her Latest Stunt

Trump did not ask her to prove she was Cherokee.

Trump asked her to prove she had native American ancestry.

Which the DNA testing proves she does.

No Goal Post Moving Is Allowed.

Everybody with a rudimentary science education knows DNA cannot discriminate between individual native tribes, or discrete ethno-linguistic groups. That is not the point of a DNA test..

1/1024th. LOL!!!!!

She never made a N.A. claim as a child, through high school, college or law school. Only when she was going for her law professor job as a N.A.
Her complete hiring file from Harvard was never released. Bottom line. She tried to misrepresent herself for whatever reason she chose to do so.

Kim Tallbear, a University of Alberta professor and author of Native American DNA: Tribal Belonging and the False Promise of Genetic Science told The Atlantic. (Tallbear is a member of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate tribe and has written extensively on this topic.)

Additionally, having some Native American ancestry “proven” from a DNA test does not automatically mean that someone is or should be, say, a member of the Cherokee tribe. “People think that there’s a DNA test that can prove if somebody is Native American or not. There isn’t,” Tallbear told New Scientist. Tribal affiliation is about more than genetics. It is also about history, culture, and political identity. The same is true of every culture, but these issues are especially sensitive given the history of the Native Americans in the US.

Tallbear noted that it’s popular for white people to claim Native American ancestry, but “tribe” is a federally recognized status, and being Cherokee is about more than DNA analysis. And as DNA tests have become more and more widespread, people are showing up at tribal-enrollment offices with their results. “That worries us in a land where we already feel there’s very little understanding about the history of our tribes, our relationships with colonial powers, and the conditions of our lives now,” she said.

In a statement provided today, Tallbear pointed out that Warren shouldn’t continue to defend her ancestry claims despite refusing to meet with Cherokee Nation members that challenge her. “This shows that she focuses on and actually privileges DNA company definitions in this debate, which are ultimately settler-colonial definitions of who is indigenous,” Tallbear writes. “She and much of the US American public privilege the voices of (mostly white) genome scientists and implicitly cede to them the power to define indigenous identity.” Similarly, the Cherokee Nation said in a statement that “Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage.”

she merely told a story of her family saying a relative was AI

how did all these people twist this family story into weird claims?

her family stories were proven true

I have a like story in my family

What, that you were raised by a family of Bigfoots? Goonie Goo-Goo!

The Gateway Pundit quotes the Cherokee Nation Secretary of State: “A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship.”

But "tribal citizenship" is not what Warren's DNA test was about. The test found "strong evidence" that she has some Native American ancestry.

This is the report from Prof. Bustamante at Stanford, dated October 10, 2018. (It is quoted by the Boston Globe but they had nothing to do with writing it.)

Oh they know this is all bullshit, but Don has a bet he needs to back out of. She did the test, he won't pay, because that's just the kind if dishonest lying fuckwit he's always been.

Liar

He said he would pay if she proved she was Indian, she is no more Indian than General Custard!

He doesn't owe her the money.
The challenge was made for the future. IF and WHEN she becomes the nominee. And, IF and WHEN they are involved in the debate. THEN he WOULD make the challenge and the offer.

Dems lose again for failing to include context.

(Warren has never explicitly claimed to be a member of the Cherokee tribe, but did list herself as “Elizabeth Warren, Cherokee” under recipes she contributed for a cookbook in 1984.) “People think that there’s a DNA test that can prove if somebody is Native American or not. Look at all the lying it took Bart O'Kavanaugh to get his corrupt ass on the US Supreme Kangaroo Court.

Did she ever say she had a family member on the Dawes Rolls? That's what tribal affiliation comes down to thanks to the colonizers. Don sure takes an endless cabal of dishonest followers to protect him from his own mouth. 0 for 2 counting his birtherism charade. American whites have no history, culture, and political identity, which is why they are so easily mindfucked by concentrated wealth and power.

RWNJs have to criticize Warren since they can't defend the stooge in the WH backing out of his promise to send a million to charity if she takes the test.

That's not how it works. No offense, but tans and statements of heritage are not appropriate claims of Native Heritage. Native Americans here these things regularly.

I work with confederated tribes. Trust me, Warren's claim is an insult. The only good of it is that it has drawn attention to the issue and provided real tribal members a venue to address it.

Oh it is how it works. Having a grandfather 1/2 Cherokee makes me eligible to do as other relatives have done and get my tribal citizenship. I think it is silly and a waste of time and money. Perhaps if that side of the family weren't filled with trash and drunks/addicts I would feel differently. I am sure if I asked them, they would be offended because they are nothing but bitter at the world people by and large anyway who don't need much to be offended.

PROVE she asked for that idiot

she merely related a family story about a grand parent of the past

without that AI family member she would have never existed

The Cherokee Nation called Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s DNA test to prove her Native American ancestry “inappropriate and wrong” in a statement Monday.

“Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation,” the Cherokee Nation’s Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. said. “Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong.”

Earlier Monday, Warren published a DNA test to show that she has some Native American ancestry. This was in response to frequent allegations by President Trump that she used false claims of her heritage to advance her career. Trump has repeatedly disparaged Warren by referring to her as “Pocahontas.”

But according to Hoskin, Warren’s attempt to prove her heritage means little to the Cherokee Nation.

“A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship,” he said. “Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America.”

He continued: “It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven. Sen. Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage.”

You claimed First Lady Michelle Obama is a secret transvestite, so nothing you claim about Elizabeth Warren or anyone else can be trusted.
