The funding for increased border security and agents was never provided; Or rather it was provided, and not used for border control and raided by Congress.

That happened several times in subsequent years. The enforcement never happened, only the amnesty.

^That never happened. The funds were never made available by Congress for that, and it wasn't solely Democrats, but it was mostly Democrats

voting against the funding for it in subsequent years.

Furthermore, sometimes they did vote for the funding, but it got raided before making it to any border-control agencies.
