I resisted the Kindle for a long time, but I finally caved and got the Kindle touch. The only reason I did it is because of room. At some point, if you are a real reader, you just collect so many books and they take up so much space.
However, I agree it's two-tiered and I would never give up my hard-bound classics, or academic presses. Many of the classics for instance, have introductions that are not available on ebooks. That's a problem.
I'm on my second Kindle (Kindle Fire)....best innovation since sliced bread.....used to give books to the library by the hundreds.....
