Oh, I firmly oppose the mosque, and don't think it should be built, but if the democrats want to rally around it and make it a symbol of their tolerance for religious freedom, and there is nothing in the constitution to prevent it, I say we build the damn mosque, and we name it the Democrat Liberal Jihadist Islamic Trophy Mosque at Ground Zero! And let's have Nancy Pelosi and John Lewis join arm-in-arm with the Imam, and walk through the doors together on the 10th anniversary of 9/11! I think that is a very fitting and appropriate tribute to the left, and we should all get behind that 100%

LMAO... It's the same page I've been on from the start, the Dems were on a different page entirely last week, before they caught wind of the polling data on this, now they are slowly drifting toward the position the right has held all along, and claiming they never held any other position.

The polling data on this was well known by the time Obama gave his remarks. I've ignored you dropping that garbage in the thread up to this point, but it grows tiresome when you keep lying over and over and over again.

Oh you're right, Jarhead... you never did say they should build the mosque, and you never said that those of us who opposed the mosque were trampling their religious freedoms, you didn't post 20-something threads about it, and you've always been totally on the side opposing the mosque, because all us right wingers were planning to bomb the mosque before it was even built, and execute every Muslim in America, so you were just doing the responsible thing and standing up for the Constitutionzzzz! The polling data showing a vast majority of America was alarmed and outraged at Obama's "acceptance" of the mosque, which he revealed at a Muslim dinner on Friday, was not known until sometime Saturday at least. Which is why, on Saturday, the president gave another press conference to "clarify" his previous remarks, and you pinheads have spent the entire day today, trying to backpedal your way out of this mess.

As far as I am aware, there has never been a question as to whether it was legal or constitutional for them to build the mosque, and I am not aware of anyone on the right claiming it wasn't. That has never been the issue or debate here, dimwit! What is at question, is whether or not it is appropriate, and whether we should support it. Last week, you thought it was appropriate and saw no reason why we shouldn't support it.... now, you've changed your tune. Friday, the president came out and claimed he also supported it and saw no reason it shouldn't be built.... now, he has changed his tune!

The right has held the same position all along, to the incessant denigration from the left, they have been staunchly opposed to this idea from the start. No one has challenged that it's not constitutional, if it weren't constitutional, we wouldn't be talking about it, someone would have prevented it from ever getting this far. No one has advocated that we ignore the constitution, but we don't have to enthusiastically support it, like you idiots were falling all over yourselves last week to do!
