Who is the idiot?
Given your lunatic prattle; YOU. Dunce.
Who is the idiot?
it's how he is mostly recognized -his reason for fame ,and the reason he was president of Washington and Lee University.
you contradict yourself!
It's awful..Can anyone be surprised by the Liberal agenda to turn the nation into a Marxist utopia?
your posting is allover the place.Look at you in excuse-making overdrive. You can convince yourself of pretty much anything, can't you?
So, you don't see how putting up a statue of LEE AS A SOLDIER can be a bit weird for someone whose ancestors were slaves, and for whom the confederate army represented maintaining that "way of life?"
I can't believe your posts sometimes. You seem to live in this constant state of denial.

first you say "What YOU need to get is that constructing a statue for someone is an honor, and a celebration of their lives in many cases."
then you say " it's a statue of a soldier".
I tell you he was much more then a soldier,(and worked to bring the Union back together,) then you go off on another tangent..
jeeese. I can't keep up with your squirrely posting
It's awful..
F.Scott Key was so greatly moved by seeing the flag "by the dawns early light"
meaning Ft.McHenry survived the British bombardment of the night before that he wrote the poem
if you can't see your contradictions, you are hopeless. Now what si the question you want answered. There is no contradiction there, at all. You're in this weird, frantic place on pretty much every issue now - trying to find holes that don't exist. I think deep down, you know your positions are untenable.
You didn't answer my question - because you're incredibly scared of the answer. You've become such an insufferable fool.

I'd wager most Nazis were "more than soldiers." Would you see the issue of putting up a statue of one of them in full Nazi uniform in a public place?

America's war on it's history expands ..couple this with PC judgementalists and the parallels
to the Maoist Chinese Cultural Revolution are clear

The question is bolded, since you somehow couldn't find it in your frenzied, rationalizing state.
I mean, look at you - thanking the village idiot on every post. What happened to you, man?

Annatta's opinion is irrelevant.
We are now entering a phase of history when the hero worship of treasonous rebel generals is coming to an end. Incrementally, but one can literally sense the balance of history shifting away from Confederacy-worship and away from the emotional attachment to defending the slave economy.
I mean, really when you think about it, in 10 years Anntta will be saying he was always for getting rid of Confederate memorabilia on public property. It's kind of like how many Republicans are now belatedly claiming they were always against the Iraq War and always for Gay Marriage.
