The competition for attention in this world is fierce. Even if you're not trying to sell something, you are in competition with entities who are, to get the attention of interested minds. If headlines and thread titles don't have some kind of hook, they are likely to be ignored, simply scroll off into oblivion.

And it's not like 'impending doom' is such a stretch.

Every COVID wave so far has been more tragic than those before it. We would like to think this one will be different since we now have vaccines, but vaccines are only effective for those who take them, and too many refuse.

They all become believers when they lose somebody close to them.

What we would like to do is find a way to reach out to people before tragedy strikes them personally, to help avoid unnecessary losses.

It's an uphill battle.

And if they were right, then they gain credibility for the next wave after this impending one.

The majority of recent hospitalizations are the 20-59 age group.

Get the vax. Wear the mask. Save a life.

Not sure how it’s a good thing to have the organization we’re supposed to rely on not have credibility. How does that save lives?

Hi Politalker,

Once the vaccine is available to everyone who wants it, life should return to normal. Anyone who chooses to get vaccinated will be protected and anyone who chooses not to has made their decision and can live (or die) with the consequences. Liberty is a great thing!

Why would they want to rob you out of your freedoms? Do you think that makes sense? What is the payoff? Why do you think the CDC cares about your freedoms? Don't you understand how foolish that is? They are trying to cut down on the Trump virus so we can return to normalcy. That is what they do.
