Castro Lover

I can tell you that the ones I know would take it as an opportunity, and would certainly not attempt to have you fired. That's what we're talking about - attempts to have him fired. I didn't say they should jump for joy over his comments. Let's not get off track while we pull strawman after strawman out of our butts okay?

Ok, now if Cawacko was representing a company that relied on business from the same feminists... would you all be inclined to do more or less business with his firm?

It really depends on what he said and how. It really depends upon the circumstances. I definitely know righties that I do business with who would vote for Santorum. I wouldn't stop doing business with someone over that.

Now, if Cawacko said that women are sluts, and the ones who use birth control are f'ing so much they can't walk...and things like that, then I'd boycott him yes. If, and this is a big if, he were a spokesperson for, or had an extremely high position in, a particular corporation, I would boycott that corporation yes.

but just for saying he likes Santorum? no.

Leaving aside you not being fans of the Cubans in Miami if anyone who represents a multi-million dollar business publically says something that will alienate a good size portion of their customer base how smart is that? To borrow one of Topspin's lines I don't think it takes a college graduate with a business degree to recognize that.

I understand that, but let's look at what he said. He did not say that Cubans are whoremongering drug runners. What he said is in no way analogous to things that say, someone like Rush said. To me, it's a matter of catering to a bunch of rabid, humorless, fuckwits who demand, demand, that they be catered to.

I don't like it.

Yes everyone on the island is really smart, really healthy and really poor.

They actually have one of the highest PPP per capita's in the Caribbean - higher than Jamaica, on par with the Domican Republic, way higher than Haiti. And these countries do not have American embargo's on them. A state run economy is, of course, not the best way to run things, but other Caribbean nations have clearly found worse ways yet.

Also too, Bud Selig is a douche:

Oh, I wouldn't know...Cawacko and I don't have the kind of relationship where we discuss those kinds of things. I'd love to read your correspondence with him on the subject though...would you mind posting it? I think that's really hot!
For shame Darla!! We don't kiss and tell!!!! :hitit:

You can be shot in Miami for saying as much. Many of those Cuban's are rabid about the hatred for Castro. Many are still planning on going home to reclaim there land once Fidel dies.

I dated a Cuban girl in Miami for a couple years. She and her family were not so finatical, her parents moved first to Madrid then to Miami in the late 60's. But many of them are militant, they were appalled that one of them was dating a gringo.

That's a really interesting viewpoint on this whole thing, and on Castro, and the unrelenting propaganda campaigns involved in this. It's good to get viewpoints other than the Government approved ones, don't you think? I always like to.

What are governments approved viewpoints in sports and what is different in that article that hasn't been stated in previous articles?

Not in sports, in politics. What is different about that article? Seriously? How about the delineation of some of the acts of violence the anti-castro fanatics have committed against dissenters? All we ever hear about is the poor Miami Cubans and how traumatized they are and how they have every right to squash free speech. We never hear anything about some of their more fanatical and unsavory, and even violent in some cases, tactics.

Alright where's the next ass I have to kick? Who's up boys? Let's go! Take your shot. You little bitches. This is getting too easy.

I see a big contract waiting for you from the Miami Marlins as their damage control PR person...
