But she did find a different legal counsel (it's not clear to me how she afforded it) when she realized trump's legal counsel was crooked. But she was broke and without support. I did not know that her parents wouldn't support her. That's pretty messed up!

I think it was Liz Cheney who set her up with a lawyer who worked pro bono.
When the book first dropped, she did exclusive interviews on several segments on MSNBC

I’m mixed on her courage. She witnessed Mark Meadows burning papers in his office fire place and did not report him to the White House legal team, although she realized what he was doing was illegal.

She also didn’t come forward until she feared her half truths and lies might come back on her and she could face criminal charges, so I’m mixed on her bravery. Her friend did the right thing in 2020 and Cassidy condemned her for it, but later, reconciled and turned to her for help when she’d been screwed by everyone else.

Her mother and step father wanted to help, but she didn’t want them mortgaging their home. Her father is a genuine Trump supporting asshole whose cruelty made her vulnerable to Trump, and Meadows.

She testified in front of Congress. After that, she was offered a book. Her testimony was very relevant and revealing. She decided to be open and honest.

Early on I viewed her as a typical Republican who deserves no slack. She worked as part of a criminal conspiracy.

The more I listened to her, the more I realized that she was indeed troubled by what she was seeing, but she was 21 years old! She got lumped in with every single trump regime staffer who was blacklisted in the entire industry. None of these underpaid staffers could find work.

Like you, I'm not all in on her, but she gets points for finally coming out and exposing the criminal enterprise that nobody else was willing to expose.

She was a kid who was being pressured by criminal adults. And it's not like her job options were plentiful.

Good post and agreed. Unlike many young people, she had the spine to fight back instead of going with the flow.

I saw several segments with her, and am nothing but impressed. The way she responded to a question about Mark Meadows' comments about some of her claims was nothing short of diplomatic. He, or course, disputed something she said, and when asked she calmly said "If Mark Meadows has something he wants to say, I suggest he testify under oath."
She's 25 years old!
