No. The whole thread is not true. nancy was calling Trump and begging him to call off his dogs. Even you far, far, deep rightys must have seen the phone calls that were being made during Trump's insurrection. Nancy was telling Pence to hide because he was in danger from Trump's personal stormtroopers.

But that's not what you just said, you said the purpose was to find out if a crime has been committed, that is not the purpose of a trial.

The purpose of the trial is to prove the crime you are already accused of committing has happened.

He had already told them to protest peacefully and they ignored him, why would they listen if he tried to call them off?

It was a police matter at that point.
