Cap and Trade household calculator

You are such an ass. Mandatory energy ratings will be done via REEP. Having a low energy rating WILL require retrofitting in order to raise your rating to sell your home. Two contractors I know FAMILIAR with the legisation have both stated it WILL cost homeowners with homes 15 years old and older 10 k to 45 k to bring homes up to REEP standards. This will NOT be an "opt in" program, EVERYONE's homes WILL BE RATED.

As to the calculator? I don't give a FF if you care to see how raped by C&T you'll be.

It's not specifically in the legislation, but if you read it, it's quite clear that each municipality will be able to do whatever they want with the regulations, so it's more than likely that it will be required by municipalities which want to SAVE THE WORLD FROM DANGEROUS CO2. They will justify whatever they want to do because warmers are religious fanatics.

If you doubt it, I hope someday you're forced to reinvest all your equity into a home you're leaving so that the new occupant can enjoy all the savings. If you vote for climate zealots, this is what you'll get.

This is a great way for municipalities to increase employment in their areas. They can keep tweaking the rules every few years as they jack property taxes. As people move away, they can force them to leave a chunk of change behind by forcing them to upgrade their property. This provides jobs by way of the artificial demand for contractor services. This glut drives the price of contracting up which increases home values. Win win for the muni

why is this scam so hard for people to recognize?

The push will be just like it was in major urban areas in CA. The closer you come to meeting federal benchmarks, the more money you get from the feds. How do you get closer to meeting benchmarks? More regulations forcing compliance. Then think on the additional costs from C and T that are added on to the costs of the manufactured goods you have to buy to retrofit that have had increased costs added on because of their having to meet "green" standards due to C and T.

The average national burden would be around 100 dollars. These figures are lies and you should ignore them.
Yeah you're much more reputable then they are.

My burden would be almost $2300. That's money that I won't be spending at restaurants and movie theaters.

Plus, who had time to read all 1,400 pages in the bill? It was rushed through because the Dems didn't want anyone to know the truth and they could claim victory.

Anybody thinks it's going to take a great republican to trip up the dems isn't looking at cap and scheme
