How's it stupid? If they're properly trained, why not let them carry? And I don't believe in buying them weapons, only allowing them the option to buy and bring their own. In light of these recent school shootings more and more teachers are on-board with the idea, and would pursue it themselves out of pocket.

Bank 1: Has two security guards both armed. Security cameras and other security features

Bank 2: No security guards. No security cameras. Minimal security features

Which bank do you think will be the one a bad guy will go after?

Two armed guards at a school of 4,000 students scattered in countless classrooms can't do much. Responsible, trained teachers in each classroom can handle the situation immediately protecting themselves and the students.

Bear spray range is 15-35 feet depending on the brand. With the most powerful sprays, a can will set you back $70. It will also empty in 5 seconds which does not bode well if you miss the target.

Since a typical classroom is about 24' wide by 24' long the 22' range of cheap wasp spray is just about perfect.

But, wasp spray isn't effective against an aggressive attacker anyway:

Only one? That's a huge school, nearly twice the size of our local HS, and we typically have two cops there at any one time.

Teaching is another scam on the taxpayer. Past the age of 12, kids shouldn't have teachers. Give the kid the books and tell him when to show up for the test.
