Canada has an acute SHORTAGE of DOCTORS - staffing crisis expected to get much worse

Plastic surgeons do a lot more than boobs you boob. And feet need care too you idiot.

And the stats say the US has more doctors per 1000 people than the UK, NZ, Australia or Canada has idiot.

When did I say plastic surgeons only do boobs. Or is that the only doctor that will do you?

UK has 3.18 doctors per 1000 people. https://www.theglobaleconomy.com/United-Kingdom/doctors_per_1000_people/
New Zealand has 3.53 doctors per 1000 people https://www.theglobaleconomy.com/New-Zealand/doctors_per_1000_people/
Canada has 2.77 doctors per 1000 people https://www.theglobaleconomy.com/Canada/doctors_per_1000_people/
Australia has 3.9 doctors per 1000 people https://www.theglobaleconomy.com/Australia/doctors_per_1000_people/
The US has 278 per 100,000 people https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK569310/table/ch2.tab16/

I wonder why you think 3.53 doctors per 1000 is fewer than 278 doctors per 100,000. Are you a boob?

He didn't stupid.
The UK, New Zealand, Australia and Canada all have fewer doctors per 1000 people than the US does.

:palm:

Yep, my bad. Just noticed that.
I will say this... I work in remote areas as a locum in Alaska and very few of those places have a physician. They are staffed with N.P.s and P.A.'s who do the same thing as a family practitioners.
They have a much harder time getting and keeping dentists.

It all depends on which source you select from. Canada does not have as many doctors per ca pita as the US does however per the WHO

According to the WHO the most recent and most reliable source
https://www.who.int/data/gho/data/i...s/GHO/medical-doctors-(per-10-000-population)

US has 35.55 per 10K people
New Zealand 35.15
Canada 24.64
United Kingdom 31.17

The WHO has the most reliable numbers on doctors.

BTW did you notice a Grizzly killed a couple and their dog in Banff National Park a few days ago.

Oops even that source says you were wrong when we include Austrailia - 41.1
And then you aren't comparing the actual years but using an outlier for the US. I highly doubt the US went from 25.7 doctors per 10,000 to 35.18 in 2019 and then back down to 27.8 in 2021. Your numbers from WHO use the sudden increase in 2019 but not any numbers after that.

Which year is that number for?
Why is the number from WHO not the same as the number from the US?
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK569310/table/ch2.tab16/

Why is this number comparable to the one put out by the US?
https://www.theglobaleconomy.com/USA/doctors_per_1000_people/
This source lists doctors per 1,000 every year from 1993. WHO only lists 4 years since 2000.

America's doctor and nurse shortage is getting a lot worse......their abuse at the hands of bureaucrats during COVID has a lot to do with it.

When the Gov't takes over the medical industry, that's what happens.

" Oct 08, 2023 ... Canada has an acute shortage of doctors — a staffing crisis that is expected to get much worse in the years ahead as the number of residency positions on offer fails to keep up with rapid population growth.

Despite those challenges, roughly 1,000 Canadian doctors who went to school abroad are turned away every year because they can't get residency spots in Canada, according to a CBC News review of medical school data. Physicians are required to go through a residency in order to be licensed to practice.

Canadian doctors who want to come home to work are routinely told it's not possible because resources are limited and there are only so many residency positions to go around.

But the medical schools that run residency programs still find room for foreign nationals from countries like Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia — people who frequently have no intention of staying here to work over the long term.

All of this is done with Ottawa's blessing. The federal government has exempted medical schools from immigration laws that require Canadians get priority for a job.

Critics maintain that dismantling the foreign "visa trainee" program — which gives several hundred residency spots to non-Canadians — would free up positions so more homegrown doctors can work here in Canada and help chip away at the physician deficit.

Meet the Canadian-born doctors who can't work in Canada"

US could send then all those “doctors” like Immanuel who endorsed Trump’s lies on Covid, then again, no one is that desperate

It is in my second link, third link, fifth link and sixth link.

Thank you.

If it's not worth you posting a quote from the link, it's not worth me clicking on it. I'm not going to search thru pages and pages to find what you are talking about, sorry.

That's what happens when the government runs your healthcare programs. They do it inefficiently and that results in both rationing and wage controls on the workers in the system. Those that know they can make more either go into private practice (if allowed) or go to another country and make more.

Do you not know how to use the search function in looking for a specific word or phrase?
Or do your lips move so slow it takes you an hour to read 1,000 words?

Why can't you post the quote and source on the forum.

OPPS! Apparently Australia upped their game in 5 years from 35. 05 to 41.1 or do you highly doubt they increased too?

Does it physically hurt to be as stupid as you are?
