I'm not sure if the promise was to"shrink". I do know there wasn't supposed to be NATO expansion past the reunited German Republic.
For sure no-one saw Romania! ( etc.) as being NATO members.. and he Ukraine was supposed to be a buffer state free from nukes and meddling

Leaking classified material is illegal. Trump is not doing that leaking.

There IS is doing a LOT of unmasking what looks like for political purposes ,
and the unmasked references are showing up in the press.

Yes "un-named officials ( past or present)" are also leaking Trumps' activities.
That's not the IC,but it's surely classified.

There are 2 sets of leakers. The IC ( Deep State unmasking and releasing to press) and the "officials"

Conflict with Putin keeps the Military Industrial Complex well fed.

The DNc hacking simply showed how corrupt the DNC was under Wasserman-Schultz, and was a big reason Bernie lost
( where is your outrage over that? I got plenty).

The leaks are illegal, contribute mightily to Russiaphobia, and the whopping defense budget we have.
Nobody wins there except the MIC and Deep State.

I have said and asked the same thing many times and not a single liberal/democrat has ever answered.

They are pissed only because they got caught with their pants down. If their was nothing to show, the hacking would never had made news. Democrats only care about the hacking because it showed how corrupt they are, but do they talk about the corruption, no, only how bad the hackers are and :blah:

The hacking of the Podesta Emails was child's play " a 14 year old could do it" (Rand Paul).
It was hilarious -i have a hard time getting my outrage on when you see a $1 billion campaign unable to even come up wit a message! They had more staff then the Pentagon has employees -and they were all stumbling around on each other.
Clinton was an invented candidate with nothing but her entitlement "next in line" -big donor driven Wall St speech sucking plutocrat.
So I admit it's really difficult to get upset about her crappy campaign :)

Meanwhile Trump actually doesn't use large donors,and spent about 1/2 but he had a real message and campaigns in the "blue wall"states and wins them.. it's such a delicious irony I simply can't workup outrage.
Call me a hypocrite if you will -i do not care..ROFL.

Prior to this there was just the NSA's gross violations of the 4th with it's warrantless wiretap,and I did excoriate them for that.

like Rice and Powers who were asking for much more unmasking then normal- which is rarely turned down

Only the House is really looking at the leakers..The Senate is exclusively focused on 'da Russians'.
I seriously doubt the FBI is interested in investigating itself.. The Deep State operates deep,and is difficult to pull out

So they are in their pretty deep, we don't know who they are, what they are, what they are really up to but nonetheless we should believe their existence has suddenly come to light & just trust that our new leader from tv has our(not his) best interest @ heart & allow him to lead us where he may..

it's a power base. It's easily abused by taking it's power into account more then any usege for the executive.
It has to be subservient to elected officials, increasingly it only serves it own perceived interests

The term is really en vogue here.... Outside of here I don't recall hearing about it.. In my real life I have never heard anyone ever mention it, & I know some characters..

they usually operate quietly..but Comey put the FBI in the spotlight for the election "da Russians" put the IC in the spotlight for Trump ,, and the leaks spotlight their power
