Can someone point me to McCrystals quote that got him canned?

I keep hearing that McCrystal said some unflattering things about the Obama strategy in Afghanistan and was critical of the Administration. Prompting left-wing media lackeys to compare him with MacArthur and McClellan, as an "insubordinate" general, whom the president was justified in firing. But I can't seem to find the direct quotes from McCrystal anywhere. Surely Rolling Stone has not quarantined these quotes from the public, and certainly they must be present somewhere, because they are supposedly the basis for the general's firing. I'm just wondering if any of you pinheads are in the loop, and can point me to those exact quotes from McCrystal, so I can read them for myself?

There is no deviation from the groupthought. what's right is right. There is nothing to see here. your activities are being monitored.

As you are obviously incapable of finding for yourself, this pinhead will help you.

Hmmm.... It curiously seems to be missing something... Oh yeah, the quote from McCrystal which was critical of Obama or the Afghan strategy! Now, can you find that for me please? I've read the entire article, and I don't see McCrystal quoted on anything critical of Obama or the Afghanistan strategy!

Gee Whiz... I know it must have been gawd awful for him to be fired and compared to McArthur and McClellan, who were both clearly insubordinate in their actions and comments... I just wish I could read it for myself!

dixie...while i do not believe his comments rise to insubordination or contempt...his comments undermined obama's authority and were spoken to a widespread magazine.

mccrystal properly resigned and perhaps he is happier for it

are you fuckign stupid? have you not read what he said? the man himself admitted it was poor judgment....are you calling him a liar?

I've read the entire Rolling Stones article from beginning to end, THREE TIMES, and I don't see a single solitary quote directly from Gen. McCrystal regarding the strategy in Afghanistan, Obama, the Administration, the policies, or anything else pertaining to the war. If you can point that out to me, I will be satisfied, but I am not seeing it in that article. I see where they reference a comment he made last year, which he was already reprimanded for, I see comments made by his aides, things he supposedly told them, and I see some off-the-cuff comments about this French dinner he was going to attend, but I must be missing the derogatory stuff about the Administration, strategy, and war. If you would be so kind as to point those out to me, I will stop thinking that Obama just fired a great General for NO reason whatsoever, and that everyone and his brother is just assuming what they have been told on this.

as i said, nothing he said was that bad...however, the whole tenor of the interview was inappropriate, he is responsible for his aides and those he commands, there should have been clear orders....

fact is dixie, you're calling the man a liar....he has admitted poor judgment and tendered his resignation

Yes, I know he admitted poor judgement and tendered his resignation, it's all over the news. What I don't know is, what he actually SAID that got him canned, and it seems no one has the answer to that.

It was poor judgment for him to allow Rolling Stone magazine within 500 miles of his command... It was poor judgment for McCrystal to vote for Obama in 2008... but I can't find where the man actually SAID a goddamn thing that should have prompted Obama firing him, and apparently, no one else can provide that quote either!

that is because you view his words differently....this alone is pretty bad, and his comments about other civilian leaders is also bad as it indirectly attacks the whitehouse where our civilian CIC resides

"Are you asking me about Vice President Biden? Who's that?" McChrystal is quoted as saying at one point in the article.

"Biden?" chimes in an aide who is seated nearby, and who is not named in the article. "Did you say: Bite Me?"

this is the VP of the united states, if you don't think a high ranking general like mccrystal saying something like this undermines the WH....you are far, far too partisan to even take an objective view of this....this was to a widely published magazine....

Well show me what McCrystal said that you view as an attack, directly or indirectly on the White House or the CIC? That's all I'm asking.... Honestly, I have read the article several times, and I am not seeing any such comments from McCrystal.

Saying WHAT???? What the FUCK did he say????? I am asking for the umpteenth time now, and no one has a fucking answer! You all want to hem-haw around and claim he was 'disrespectful' and 'inappropriate' but you can't tell me what the fuck he said or did! Does that not strike you as a little ODD? It certainly does me! I can't understand why he was FIRED from his job! I see nothing in the Rolling Stones article that prompts such an action by Obama, and you haven't shown anything! You keep running your mouth, you keep insisting that he did something wrong, but no one seems to know WHAT!

The only thing I can conclude is, Obama didn't like McCrystal, even before the RS article, and looking at the fact that we are WAY behind schedule with our plan in Afghanistan, and it appears there is no way we'll ever get the job done by Obama's silly ass 'deadline' of July 2011, it appears Obama is giving himself an 'out' to be able to push that 'deadline' into 2012 or beyond... he can now claim that McCrystal's departure changed the plans... IS this an Obama CYA move? That's what I am concluding here, because NO ONE can show me what McCrystal did to deserve what he got!

"Are you asking me about Vice President Biden? Who's that?" McChrystal is quoted as saying at one point in the article.

"Biden, who's that?" Are you serious??? THIS is why he was fired as commander of international forces in Afghanistan??? Where is this "critical of the policy" or "an attack" on any fucking thing???

"Biden?" chimes in an aide who is seated nearby, and who is not named in the article. "Did you say: Bite Me?"

Again.... THIS is the supposed quote that got him canned??? Are you serious???
