Useless trivia: though it's one of the Piano Man's best-known songs, there is no piano in We Didn't Start The Fire. In the studio recording, he played , IIRC, a Hammond B3...in concert, he usually plays a guitar.

Speaking at a rally of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations in Ohio recently, Vice President Joseph Biden referred to conservatives—fellow Americans he was elected to serve and protect—as “barbarians at the gate.” The “other side,” he yelled, has “declared war,” and it’s about time we “stand up.” If you’ve got the time, watch the video. Mr. Biden’s words are telling, but it was the sincerity with which he spoke, his tone of deep-seated disdain and hate, that was most compelling.

It's about equality. We acknowledged racism and have tried to correct it. The same with sexism. Now it's time to deal with "dollar-ism". That doesn't mean a socialist system where everyone is equal financially. It means we can't let some people suffer while others have an abundance. When there are 100 applicants and one job opening we can't blame the 99 people who were rejected and living in poverty. It is not their fault anymore than it was the fault of an individual who didn't get a job because they were Black or Female.

You make some fine points, it seems that all the Obama Biden election team has is to scare everyone into submission with all of their crisises lies and poor leadership qualities. It is like someone running into a theatre and yelling fire, and if it was anybody else they would be arrested for inciting a riot.

A Great leader doesn't have to invoke fear and manipulate people.
