Since the 18th Century the United States of America has had 44 presidents. Obama is the first one that's Black, and he's the first one against whom a "birther" movement has been waged.

Nope, but not for reasons you think/wish as the case may be.

How many presidents spent their childhood in different parts of the world? How many of them had a pamphlet that said they were born in Kenya? And how many presidents fueled the initial speculation by refusing to release their birth certificate? I can't think of a single one.

And it doesn't matter that it was his place of birth was mistakenly listed as Kenya. If white president X had the same back story as Obama his political opponents would make an issue out of it [like Hillary did with Obama] and no one would call it racism. It would fuel the same speculation.

Sometimes when you think you 'see racism', it's a mirage.

The greatest evidence of his Muslim commitment is the method in which he has spent billions of US TAX DOLLARS and the US MILITARY deconstructing the Middle East and making sure the Muslim Brotherhood moves into the void his leadership has helped create.

The birthers presented their delusion as fact, not as suspicion.
Trump didn't say he suspected it.
Trump asserted it;
and only this month, over 7 years into the Obama administration did candidate Trump explicitly recant. And candidly, at the time he did so, was trailing in the polls, and seems to have done so for self-serving political purpose.

I don't doubt that Barack is a Christian. That said, he spent considerable time in a fringe Christian church that espoused liberation theology. LT is considered a radical theology relative to the mainstream.

Oddly, there's plenty there if you want to go after Obama's religion instead of chasing after the Muslim bit---yet so many get sucked into doing the latter. He isn't a Muslim, he's an ex-Muslim that attended a radical Christian church for twenty years.

Also, note how 'radical' Christianity is an intellectual and not a violent movement.
