Cameras in the classroom

Yesterday they wanted to do away with tenure and now they want cameras in the classroom, pile that on top of they want to tell teachers what to teach, how to teach it, and when to teach it and it is pretty obvious why teachers in America are leaving the profession in record numbers

Welcome to MAGA America

Give me one good reason cameras should not be in the classroom.

Are the schools going to hire people to view thousands of hours of classroom activity? If not, the cameras serve no purpose. If they do, that is big brother at its worst. I think the companies that make camera equipment must have a strong lobby.

I do believe there is little or no teaching occurring in many classrooms (remember "free periods"). But this is a poor way to improve instruction and let's administrators off the hook by claiming that is "supervision."

I'd presume that the feed would only be viewed if an issue was reported.

Oddly, you don't seem to feel that way about security cameras or body-cams...do you?

Have I found a union shill?

Who has access to said cameras?

That's a fair question.

BTW, "Trump believes that the rush to install these systems - many of them extremely expensive and sophisticated - often amounts to little more than a “knee-jerk reaction.” High-tech security equipment allows school administrators to point to "something tangible," says Trump, to demonstrate to parents that they take security seriously.

But he cautions that the bigger picture often hasn't been factored into these decisions.

"How much thought has been put it into whether all this equipment meshes with the school climate, culture, and community relations aspects of how schools operate?" Trump asks.

You tell me. I would prefer they be open but I can see some need for restrictions such as, a parent has to view them at the school.
A camera can serve many purposes. Protecting the teacher from unruly students or on the flip side, making sure a teacher is not pushing their own personal agenda on the students.

It's almost as if they have something to hide, isn't it?

Teachers don't have to arrest, fight, or defend themselves with possible legal consequences. If any of these activities occur in the classroom there are 30 students recording it on cell phones.

Why should we be recording teachers unless we are trying to exercise fascist control over their activities?

that shit is irrelevant. these fucking teachers are idiots and fucking up kids heads. Dont like it dont be a teacher. Fuck you and fuck them

I'll help you with a first hint: the people cops arrest are usually adults.

Go on and start thinking. I have faith in you.

so fucking what? teachers dont do fucked up shit? of course they do. parents have a right to see what those assholes do to their kids

What fucked up shit? It isn't the Catholic schools. They're the ones that need to have cameras installed everywhere.
