Like I said, I am not in her head, so I don't know what she was thinking. What I did was point out that of those 12 years Democrats had total control, the last five were current. And within those last 5 years of Democratic control, CA's prospects became much better and the state improved markedly.

So you wanted to play a game of gotcha with someone else, and I wanted to have a more substantive discussion about the impact of Democratic control. It's like checkers (you) and chess (me).

But it didn't lag the US in general. In fact, the unemployment rate declined in CA at a faster rate than it did nationwide.

Unemployment declined by 65% for CA, but declined 62% for the rest of the country, both from their respective peaks.

And CA did it on a much faster timeline.

So it was actually the US that lagged CA.

You are looking at gross numbers, out of context, and you do that because you are an intellectual slob.

Okay, so let's see some links to ALL the court cases brought forth by the state of California. They went to court, right? And this stuff is FEDERAL(SEC I believe). If they won, they were made whole, right? And if California lost, you should find the reason(s) in the transcripts of those cases.

This poster is just creating this elaborate ruse to divert from the fact that Gray Davis in 1999 signed a bill to increase public workers benefits that was promised not to cost the taxpayers a cent and now costs us billions a year. He doesn't want to acknowledge the role (democratic) politicians played.
