California Restaurants Cut Jobs as Fast-Food Wages Set to Rise

I haven't needed to "make a living" for a long time.

When I speak of social responsibilities,
I'm talking about MY responsibilities to society as well,
but yet, the way your reptile right wing mind works,
you reply as if I were speaking of my entitlements instead.

This is a different subject, however.
This is about the tragic limitations of the right wing brain.

You are speaking of your entitlements. Don't try to deny your own posts, Sock.

Exactly what I stated. Your definition and desire to be altruistic is different from mine, and everybody else's. Don't push or expect others to be as altruistic as you are. My views on "social responsibility" are mine, and yours are not mine. You have the typical Leftist view on this:

Everybody should contribute to society willingly as society demands. Individuality is irrelevant in that it interferes with the forced altruism socialism demands and is enforced by government. People should be happy with what society hands them even if it is less than they work to produce.

Marx said it more succinctly: From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs.

That stands human nature on its head and will NEVER work so long as humans are human.

Exactly. This is that for which you'll have to answer when everything is sorted out.

History has moved steadily right to left from the beginning of time.
That's why we read it back from left to right.

There is a huge worker shortage for fast food restaurants, which is causing many of them to close, at least some of the time. If this was really causing many restaurants to lay off staff, it might just save the fast food industry by freeing up workers.

Price controls do not free up workers, Sock. Workers simply lose their jobs. If a business is forced to pay higher prices than it can afford, that business closes. You cannot save the fast food industry (which you hate) by destroying it, Sock.

Or, just possibly, if the minimum wage were realistic for the work performed instead of pricing labor out of the market... Because if fast food workers and other minimum wage employees made $26 an hour, skilled workers would be making $50+ dollars an hour and minimum wage workers would still be unable to afford shit because the prices would adjust to fit those wages.

Yep, that is what happens. Other professions will get raises. Can you imagine that the money flowing to the top would likely be cut?
