California overtakes Japan to become world’s fourth-largest economy

Agreed. Uptown N.O. is a checkerboard of neighborhoods. Hard to drive a mile from one good ‘hood to another without going through an urban cesspool.

The only ‘friends’ you seem to have are on this board. And Dutch lives in Dallas. BowelWoman, UP.

OK. Pfffft. *burp*
I lived for two years in Metairie, ten minutes from the NO Superdome, worked in the central business district, and spent most weekends in and around the French quarter, or visiting friends in the Garden district or Lakeview - and I was never the victim of any crime, petty or otherwise.

Maybe your experience with frequent crime is because you look like a victim and an easy target?

I lived for two years in Metairie,
No kidding? That’s where I grew up! Went to East Jefferson High School.

I never had any problems with crime while I lived with the P’s in Metairie.
As you probably know the dental school is in N.O., very close to the St.Bernard housing project. It was in that area that I was mugged. One student (I didn’t know) was murdered not far from there.

Two years is nothing. I’m sure I went through a two year stretch where nothing happened.
Unfortunately I DID make the poor choice of living Uptown after graduation. The only reason I didn’t leave earlier was I was stuck in a lease.

You obviously freely choose to live in the wrong neighborhoods, because there are neighborhoods in Birmingham, and Memphis, Tennessee where the same petty crime could have happened to you.

San Pedro was a bit sketchy, but I had no problems there. Escondido was pretty upscale to me, and where my truck was broken into. Santa Rosa was in wine country, so I could barely afford to live there even 30 years ago. Never saw a homeless person there or in Escondido. And like you said, the same petty crimes could have happened anywhere, even in the imperfect but affordable place I live now. But there are other reasons for their shithole status.

More importantly, you said all of California was a dystopian hell hole - not that certain neighborhoods or downtown areas were hell holes.

Like I said, there are other reasons for their shithole status. Primarily taxes, which those alone make the state unaffordable for me. And the way you administer criminal justice, particularly in the larger cities and towns, in general just disgusts me. I won't even visit California until the second term of next republican governor, (it'll probably take the entire 1st term to just START to straighten that place out) and it's not just California. Illinois and New York are on the list too.

California overtakes Japan to become world’s fourth-largest economy. But tariffs pose threat

If California were its own country,
It IS it's own country. It's a dictatorship. I call it the SDTC now (Socialist Dictatorship of the Territory of California).
its economy would now rank as the fourth-largest of any nation across the globe,
Blatant lie (synthesis). Crime is not an economy.
Gov. Gavin Newsom said, a new milestone that comes at a time of major economic turbulence.
King Newsom will say all kinds of stupid shit.
California has long been a global powerhouse,
Blatant lie (synthesis).
fueled by a variety of sectors including technology,
Those companies are leaving.
agriculture,
Abandoned orchards and ranches is not agriculture.
Crime isn't tourism.
and entertainment.
Movies aren't made in Hollywood much anymore. There's a reason.
The new ranking comes as the state is facing challenges from a trade war with China and other nations that are key California trading partners.
Trade with the SDTC is crashing, since the ports can't function normally anymore. Those ships are spending the extra fuel to go through the Canal and deliver their goods to Southern and East coast ports.
Quoting the government propaganda doesn't make it true.

You're bullshitting again.

Trump's poll numbers are going down faster than the Lusitania.

He's quickly proving to be the Biggest Loser of American Presidents. Sad.

MSNBC is Fake Pollls. Argument from randU fallacy.

Trump is a successful real estate developer. He was elected twice as President of the United States. You are stuck in a mental institution...a total nothing...and YOU have the gall to call Trump a 'loser'??? :rofl2:

He was elected three times.

I'm 88 years old, Asshole. You gotta come up with something better than that and your last childish post.
Toby is a pill-popper due to a "botched back surgery". He's both in constant pain and high on opioids. He's incapable of being better.

I'm the childish one? And how is your old age relevant? We've recently learned that there are millions of people well over 120 yrs. old these days.

How much larger would California's economy be if the state was run by sensible, business friendly, government rather than a bunch of radical Leftist, Socialist, business hating retards?
California's government has some obvious issues in regard to red tape, but they also invest in money to grow the state. Do you think silicon valley was ever going to happen in Alabama?

Read the childish shit you wrote to which I was responding...and you will be able to answer your own question.
