“The state of California has no jurisdiction over the federal government. If Newsom wants to regulate our agents, he must go through Congress, I’ve directed our federal agencies that the law signed today has no effect on our operations . Our agents will continue to protect their identities. When can we expect California to pass a law banning Antifa members from wearing masks while committing state and federal crimes? I’ll wait…”

Bill Johnson is the executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations, which represents more than 241,000 law enforcement officers across more than 1,000 police units and associations. He shared with the Washington Examiner that the mask ban law, seeking to obstruct the duties and functions of ICE agents, is in direct violation of the Constitution's supremacy clause. While California is allowed to to enact a mask ban on local officers; the state can't enact that ban on federal law enforcement officers. Notably, Newsom's mask ban law excludes California state police.

“It seems pretty clear from a constitutional perspective that any efforts by California to thwart federal law enforcement actions will fail under the federal constitution’s Supremacy Clause,” Johnson told the Washington Examiner. “No doubt the governor and his advisers are aware of this, but once again have chosen the cheap theatrics of another ill-advised state policy that will be quickly struck down.”

ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officials have been spotted wearing masks and neck gaiters this year in response to the unprecedented level of violence and threats imposed on them.

Newsom is being taught a lesson about the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution.

The Supremacy Clause, found in Article VI of the U.S. Constitution, establishes that the federal constitution, and federal laws and treaties, "shall be the supreme Law of the Land.

:blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

Funny how a member of the trump gang suddenly pretends to give a rat's ass about the Constitution after their boss has violated just about every clause, article and amendment contained within it.

And as for the part about cheap theatrics....? :rofl2: :rofl2:

Give us a break. :palm:
