California firefighters use 6,000 gallons of water to put out "spontaneous" Tesla car

Hmm, when I insured my Tesla Model Y with USAA, the increase was about 20%. Even if you're right, which I seriously doubt, it sure hasn't stopped people from buying EVs.

Educate yourself, boy:
incentive | inˈsen(t)iv | noun
a thing that motivates or encourages one to do something: there is no incentive for customers to conserve water.
• a payment or concession to stimulate greater output or investment: tax incentives for investing in depressed areas | [as modifier] : incentive payments.

mandate | ˈmanˌdāt | noun
1 an official order or commission to do something: a mandate to seek the release of political prisoners.
• Law a commission by which a party is entrusted to perform a service, especially without payment and with indemnity against loss by that party.
• US Law an order from an appellate court to a lower court to take a specific action.

It has already been proven that the Tesla cars have lower ownership costs than ICE cars by far.

WRONG.
EVs:
* They are more expensive to buy.
* They have higher maintenance costs.
* They use twice as much energy as a similar sized gasoline car.
* They waste time.
* They have poor performance due to their heavy batteries.
* They have limited range that gets less as the batteries age.

Attempted proof by Stone.

Nope. You still need lubrication and you still need transmission work. EVs have both.
MAGA isn't a person.
Darwin's theory of natural selection has been falsified. It also had nothing to do with the economy.
Companies still sell slide rules. I still use mine from time to time. It doesn't need batteries.
Do you use buggy whips too?

Just curious.

Why would I do that? I do not own or horse or buggy.
I use gasoline and diesel fuel for my vehicles. They can go a lot faster than horse, and do a lot more work than a horse. They can do a lot more work than an EV also.

You may want to invest is a sarcasm detector.

The WOKE almost never read a book more than 30 years old.

Would you kindly attempt to concentrate?

You seem to be condemning all books newer than 30 years old, yet there are many good books that are less than 30 years old.
This includes good books on theories of science.

It's irrelevant to the discussion, but the answer is no, I don't believe Trump won. Now, address the issue rather than continuing to use evasions, red herrings, and ad hominem.

It's very relevant. If you're gullible enough to swallow Trump's Big Lie, you're gullible enough to swallow the bullshit about EVs.
Have you learned the difference between INCENTIVES and MANDATES yet?

That last is not the reason electrics lost in the market. It was the same reason(s) people don't want them today. They were more expensive than the ICE alternative. The ICE vehicle required minutes to fill up versus hours to recharge. Recharging stations were rare in most places while gasoline was portable. They were also DC powered and once Edison lost out to Westinghouse / Tesla (and then General Electric) who were using the more practical AC power systems, battery vehicles lost even more ground.

All of that occurred without government interference in the marketplace. Standard Oil had little or nothing to do with it.

Global electric vehicle sales reached 10 percent of all new cars sold in 2022, an increase from 8.3 percent in 2021.

EVs continue to become more popular year over year, and consumers are making the switch from gas-powered vehicles to battery-powered ones across the world. Some markets have proven to be hot spots for electrification, while others are slowly coming around to the idea. With manufacturers planning to offer many new EV models this year, 2023 could have even more growth.

New data provided by LMC Automotive and EV-Volumes.com (via Wall Street Journal) shows global EV sales made up 10 percent of every new car sold globally last year, with most of the sales occurring in Europe and China. In these two markets, manufacturers focus heavily on EV sales and are rushing to push competitive models out while optimizing and improving past vehicles.

Last year, 7.8 million electric vehicles were sold. Continuing the adoption of EVs has provided not only new, sustainable powertrains to consumers but also new revenue streams for automakers through subscription-based programs and charging infrastructure.

And you have yet to prove it's because of government mandates. You really are butthurt over people choosing EVs over gas cars.
And you have to convince yourself it's because of mandates because you can't come to terms that people actually like driving and owning EVs. Why is that?
