"California bill would allow citizens to enforce weapons ban"

Nice plinker. Ruger's LCS series looks great although I've never fired one. Why did you choose a .22 over a pocket 9MM?

Or even better....

My main concealed gun is an LC9-S. Great gun. If I’m not carrying concealed I carry the Glock 45 ACP. I have an old S&W Model 910 that I love to plink with. I chose the 22 so I can completely conceal it in my back pocket. It is mostly for carrying at church. Loaded with CCI Stingers and confidence in shot placement it is a great deterrent and from my hip pocket I can get it into action more quickly than the LC9 from my ankle holster.

Every gun I carry I have qualified with on the CLEET course. I won’t be able to qualify the 22 (the lowest caliber they’ll allow is a 9 mm) but after firing about 50 rounds through it this evening it wouldn’t be a problem to. For a pocket gun it is incredibly accurate.

The defense and protection of the state and of the United States is an obligation of all persons within the state. The legislature shall provide for the discharge of this obligation and for the maintenance and regulation of an organized militia.

We have a Second Amendment and should have no security problems in our free States.

either Texas and California's laws are Constitutional, or both are not

Sounds logical although the Supreme Court sometimes avoids decisions on major questions and rules on procedural or minor differences.

If constitutional, that means any state can prohibit any constitutional right by allowing citizens to sue.

I realize you are confident in your shot placement. Any pics of the accuracy of this pistol?

Tbh, I'll take your word for it. I'm a little leary of automatics, though.

The dude that used to work with me has an LC9 with a laser sight. 7 rounds, I think?

That's enough, and it's pretty small. Double-whatever trigger for safety.

I just have a hard time trusting automatics since my cousin blew a hole in his parents' Winnebago shit tank when I was a kid. That was a 1911 .45.

And he was a crap-talking Barney Fife-ish cousin.

He came out with the gun "Oh yeah, I always keep one in the chamber, gotta be ready" (Snort) then went back in to put the gun up and when it banged against the wall it shot straight through the poop tank.

Gunsmoke rolling out all around him, he come stumblin' out the door lookin' all dazed. Yeah, 5 of us just scattered.

I got a 10-7 in my pocket. Not sure if shoot or bring the the butt down on head.

A well-placed shot would have more power than a .22 from this. It's very accurate, too.

Well..not to the point of aim..have to aim 2 inches low, but the bullets always hit there.

Is that the LCP? At 5 - 10 yards?

I have an old Taurus 85 stainless with a mixed load of .38s and a S&W M&P Shield .45 as usual carry/car guns. The Taurus, with a 2" barrel, is a great, ,reliable little gun but after about 7 yards, I can only aim for center of mass and hope.

Awesome. You continue to prove the level of your Christianity daily.

OK Dutch. Plinking and pistols have exactly what to do with Christianity?

You don't even believe in God, so how the fuck do you get off? Seriously.

Explain to me how you are qualified to judge Christianity when you do not believe in God.

You malice and jealousy-filled cretin!

Dude, you're a fucking creepy-weepy, ok?

But what kinda 30-.06 you got, brah? You never did answer that question.

"A new bill in California would allow private citizens go after gun makers in the same way Texas lets them target abortion providers, though gun advocates immediately promised a court challenge if it becomes law."

"Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom on Friday backed legislation that would let private citizens enforce the state’s ban on assault weapons. It’s modeled after a Texas law that lets private citizens enforce that state’s ban on abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected."

"Texas and other conservative-led states have tried for years to ban abortions. But the states’ attempts have been blocked by the courts."

"But Texas’ new abortion law is unique in that it bars the government from enforcing the law. The idea is if the government can’t enforce the law, it can’t be sued to block it in court. The U.S. Supreme Court’s conservative majority has allowed the abortion law to stay in place pending a legal challenge."

"The proposal fulfills fears from some gun rights groups, who have opposed the Texas abortion law because they worried liberal states like California would use the same principle on guns."

Pretty obvious States looking to curb gun violence are going to also pass similar legislation, which means Brett and the boys are going to have a tough decision down the road, either Texas and California's laws are Constitutional, or both are not

Kudos to Newsom for exposing the hypocrisy

TOUCHE', baby! :good4u:

The LCS .22 that I bought today was what I was referencing. I have a golfball through which I’ve drilled a hole and run a rope. It is hanging from a tree limb in my back yard. I was able to hit it consistently from about 9 or 10 yards.

I used LC9 on a qualifying course which takes us out to 25 yards. It performs great for a compact 9 mm through that course. I don’t think I have any pictures of targets for anything but the Glock 45 though. Now that’s a great gun to shoot.

That's finer shooting than I can do without a scope. LOL

Never shot the CLEET course myself and had to look it up. https://www.ok.gov/cleet/documents/FirearmsQualificationJune2007_16Oct2015.pdf
