Calexit

seems to be back in the news, and enough signatures are anticipated to make it to the ballots. What do you think about it? Lets say they exit from the US. What are the implications for them and for the rest of us?
If possible, can we have a more serious discussion instead of the usual mudslinging, please?

Well, according to history, Trump would be justified in suspending habeas corpus and going to war with them.

Personally I have always thought of secession being a right of every state and that joining the union was purely voluntary.

For one thing it would devastate the left politically. Think about the number of Representatives that Commiefornia sends to the House. They would never take back the House again. And then think about the electoral votes that come out of Commiefornia? They would never win the Presidency again.

What happens when Trump leaves office in 2025? Do they beg to come back?

It's all fun and games for the poor snowflakes who just can't live in a world of President Trump, but Commiefornia isn't going anywhere. The left will not let it happen

Interesting thoughts about the political impact. Ca would also have to compete with Mexico and CA as our closest produce trading partners, more beneficial for Mexico, imo.
