Health care policy can get confusing, even for policy experts who study the details for a living. It’s one of the reasons dishonesty in the political debate surrounding health care is so damaging – even the most well-intentioned people often don’t know how best to separate fact from fiction.

It’s why efforts from political officials – who know better – to deliberately confuse people are so disappointing. Michael Hiltzik reports:

showing how hopelessly uninformed you are ?

This is Cali and their site was done by the state and has worked well right from the beginning.

the whole reason the fed site had problems is your assholes refused to help their people by doing their own sites

these assholes put on their party site a link that FAKED people into thinking they were about to sign up for healthcare.

then all it did was tell them NO DONT SIGN UP

fucking liars

there are states making laws that make it illegal to suggest to another person to go get health care.

what the fuck?

The device chosen by the Assembly’s GOP caucus is a website at the address coveringcaliforniahealthcareca.com. If that sounds suspiciously like coveredca.com, which is the real website for the California insurance exchange, it may not be a coincidence.

Really? They get confused between a 29 letter name whose only real similarity is the cove and ca?

That would be like you getting confused and going to justinthehousewereseveralpeopletalkingpolitics.com rather than justplainpolitics.com

they had their reublicanny site

when people came to it they gave a link for people to click to look at healthcare.

they tricked people into thinking it was the state site they were going to be clicking to.

then it was nothing but right wing lies about how horrible it would be to sign up for healthcare.

they were telling their voters to go without healthcare.

what good advice huh?

these people could have healthcare and have it cost less but NOOOOOOOO

these assholes only care about the republican party and not their voters

damo did you read the facts here?

how can you defend this?

wow have you sunk

What is "sunk" is pretending that the site's name would fool somebody into thinking that they're at a health exchange. I don't believe for a moment that even you would be fooled, not even a little bit. I do note that Rachel Maddow Show's blogspot isn't really a great venue for an unbiased report as well.

I note that you couldn't address the reality that the names are not even close let alone "suspiciously close", this is a nonsense claim.

Low is bringing us some dude from Rachel Maddow Show's site blog and pretending it is a valid source of "news".

wow now your just going to lie about it/

jesus this is depressing.

you are not who I thought you were

Sorry, he is a partisan hack... not credible.

Like what? The site includes the ridiculous notion that the Affordable Care Act increases the federal budget deficit, which is the exact opposite of reality. It also claims the IRS will use the law to target conservatives; it says the law will discourage private-sector hiring; and it even hints in the direction of the death-panel smear by raising the specter of “rationing” for the elderly.

LMAO... except that it WILL raise the deficit, the supposed cost savings portions of the ACA are just a shell game, some of the portions have already been nixed by Sebelius and co...

We have also already seen the effects it is having on hiring... almost all of the jobs 'created' this year have been part time jobs.

Poor Desh, always quoting partisan bullshit sites.
