Smarting from the whipping he got for daring to criticize Rick Perry for "insensitivity", Herman Cain is making amends by toeing the party line.

Check out his "thoughts" on the Wall Street protests:

"What do they want?" Cain asked. "I don't have facts to back this up, but I happen to believe that these demonstrations are planned and orchestrated to distract from the failed policies of the Obama administration. Don't blame Wall Street, don't blame the big banks. If you don't have a job and you are not rich, blame yourself!"

He doesn't have the facts to back that up, but when did that ever stop a conservative, especially one desperate to get himself back in the good graces of a party that only pulls 4% of the Black vote?

If you’re black and vote Democratic, Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain believes he knows the reason: You’ve been brainwashed. But if African-Americans suffer from a political brain malady, it’s probably because the GOP has been smacking many of them in the head for years and telling them it’s tough love.

Cain, who is black and now flavor of the month in a fickle GOP presidential race, must realize the ridiculousness of his comments to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. In remarks some have labeled racist, Cain insisted that many African-Americans have been “brainwashed into not being open-minded, not even considering a conservative point of view.”

The remarks are insulting and demeaning to black voters, and assume they don’t have the intelligence to vote their conscience or vote in their best interests. Cain apparently believes many African-Americans are not able to think for themselves.
