Businesses May Flee New York after $364 million verdict against Trump

Businesses already considered the New York State Attorney General's Office a major obstruction to doing business, starting with N.Y. AG Elliot Spitzer, aka sheriff of Wall Street. Despite forcing financial firms to fork over billions, Spitzer's cases primarily focused on minor offenses.

Wall Street bigs are astounded at Friday's judgement against Trump, the AG's thirst for power, leftists running the state legislature, and Gov. Kathy Hochul making the state unlivable.

This is why major companies are now considering joining Goldman Sachs, which is moving to Texas; hedge funds pulling up stakes for Florida; and private equity titans like Blackstone leaving for Miami.

Bloomberg estimates $2 Trillion in assets have left New York and California for Texas, Florida and other Sun Belt states where cost of living is as much as 40% cheaper.

In 1990, 33% of all U.S. financial industry jobs were in New York, but by last year, New York's share of these jobs had shrunk to 17.6%.

Oh how the libs here must be so embarrassed by mocking the truckers who no longer want to do business in that N.Y.C. hellhole, where major businesses and investment firms have or are about to exit that hellhole that's run by an all-Democrat staff of nincompoops. This death of N.Y.C. forces me to say....I told you so, New York is a hellhole!

How dumb. No businesses are going anywhere, because they have nothing in common with the Trump Corporation. Most big businesses are not privately held. But most importantly, most businesses don't have a criminal con man running their organizatioh.

Next?

Watch the changes ...and the flight from...NYC and New York in general this year...none of it positive...

Why?

Did you think they were going to flock to Livingston, Texas

I don't believe that the thousands of people who work for him and or live in his amazing hotels of New York would agree with you. LOL

Sorry, but a non capitalist like yourself wouldn't understand that.

Ah, Trump owns one Hotel in NYC and several office buildings, and with the space now available in NYC, no body is going to miss Trump. In fact, he is, and has always been a joke in NYC, if you drive down the Hudson Prky you see all these buildings with his name on them, which he doesn’t own, but pays the owners to have his name put up on the buildings as if he did own them, as I said, a joke

And to show how idiotic your post is, NewsMax broadcasts from NYC, the same city you think is a “shithole”

It's hard to find a U Haul truck in New York.

So businesses don't want to do business in NYC

God I hope not. But renting a U Haul from Texas to NYC is much cheaper than renting one from NYC to Texas.

But livingston Texas does have a great bass fishing lake with lots of great lake homes.;)

If they are profitable, they will have more enlightened leadership. If there is a need for the hotels, they will go on. But a Trumpy cannot understand reality.

All stocks traded in the USA are technically owned by Cede and Company, a company in NYC. You own an entitlement to a stock, or more accurately an entitlement to an entitlement to an entitlement to a stock Cede and Company owns. To clear legal ownership on a stock would take too long for the modern stock market to work. I have owned actual stocks, and it can easily take weeks to establish and transfer ownership. It is not fun.

This sounds like a technicality, and it is. But it means that if you want to withdraw from NYC, you need to not own any US traded stocks, or bonds, and have absolutely no money in any bank... Or any US money at all.

NYC is the center of the modern capitalist system, and is nearly unavoidable. It is where almost everyone comes to make money.

They mocked Abbott for busing illegals they aren't mocking him now. I suspect this judgement will blow up in their faces. You would have to be a moron to incorporate in New York now. I hope their businesses move to Texas where we actually appreciate their business.

Any business that likes to operate in districts where blatant fraud, such as Trump did is, is not prosecuted is welcome to move their company to any of the "shithole" countries Trump likes to disparage.

Meanwhile the best businesses will be more likely to come to NYS, knowing that fraudsters like Trump, will continue to be prosecuted.

Next braindead post by the TS, is going to be 'Burglar arrested for robbing people who live in his neighborhood. People in that neighborhood do not want burglars arrested and may move now'.

The AG sure does she even campaigned on getting Trump.

As she should have. HE was dirty thru and thru.

the one you should have an issue with is Trump campaigning on 'locking Hilary up' when she had committed no crime.

Did that bother you?

Sezz the old bag who lives in flyover country, and yes New Yorkers laugh at your kind as if New Yorkers give a shit about the con man

For decades people in the tri state area of NY knew about trump and his family though his shady dealings that's why he targeted you ignorant rubes who know no better
