Bush vs Gore

Bush v Gore was about the count in Florida, not the EC.

I don't care what happens in this election, I will still support the EC. Historically it has always benefited Republicans (Harrison, Bush, and you can throw in the procedures addressed in 1796, 1800, and 1824), anyway.

Winning the popular vote just gives you some bragging rights: "I got more proles!"

Since States really haven't made and significant progress on the issues of recounts in federal elections and with Romney leading in national polls but being significantly behind in the electoral votes it's distinctly possible that Obama could win the electoral vote but lose the popular vote. In which case you know Republicans are going to howl as loud as Democrats did in 2000 only to have Bush Vs. Gore jump up and bite them on the ass. Wouldn't that be funny? :)

Remember the old adage of if you stand by the river long enough, you will see the bodies of your enemies float by. :D

3d and I will expose you liberal hypocrites for what you are if this happens.

The liberals will be plenty content. In full line with their self serving hypocrisy.

Conservatives will be stoic and steady in their support of the electoral college

You're about as liberal as 3D is a vegetarian.

I call myself a conservative because ultimately that seems to be the side I come down rooting for. And I agree with conservatives on gun rights and issues relating to the economy/business/taxes, etc. But yes, I obviously have a lot of viewpoints that wouldn't be "Traditionally conservative"

I don't really know what else to call myself though so that's what has stuck.

I wish we could have electoral colleges at the state level for offices such as governor, lt governor, and maybe attorney general. How sweet would that be?

Don't worry. We know what to call you. :)

Jesus Grind. Get real. Only proles fall for this "conservative" or "liberal" shit. Read your Machiavelli! Decide what's in your interest and vote that way and leave the liberal and conservative tags for the morons who can't think.

My congressman is a pasty assed beady eyed little doughball and probably every woman on this board could kick his flabby round ass. He's the freaken stereotype of a whimpy assed Republican. Yet I voted for him, why? Cause he's not some ideological right wing southern redneck with shit for brains. He's done a damned good job of bringing home the federal bacon to our district. That's dumped a lot of federal coin in our district and has kept a lot of people working. In other words he's served our district well so I voted for the little powder puff because it was in my interest to do so. Lest you haven't noticed....I'm hardly Barry Fucking Goldwater.

I supported Ted Stevens for many years for the same reason, he got a lot of money for the "bush" communities. He benefited our state in many ways.

FYI, no such stereotype exists. Kucinich, on the other hand...
