Back in 2004 Republicans were talking all the time about building a permanent majority. That was because they won 51% of the vote. And let's face it, with Obama, 53% of the vote is respectable, but Reagan won like 60%, and within 8 years there was another Democratic president. This is just meaningless rot designed to make partisans feel good in being brainwashed. Pardon me if I fail to partake.
