Bush - appropriately - goes out on a woefully detached note

Who voted for this psychopath twice?

"In terms of the economy — look, I inherited a recession, I'm ending on a recession. In the meantime, there were 52 months of uninterrupted job growth."

"You know, people said, well, the federal response (to Katrina) was slow. Don't tell me the federal response was slow when there was 30,000 people pulled off roofs right after the storm passed... That's a pretty quick response."

"I think it's a good, strong record."

"I disagree with this assessment that, you know, that people view America in a dim light. It may be damaged amongst some of the elite. But people still understand America stands for freedom."

This is a pretty deranged man. This has really been a very surreal 8 years, politically.

Thank God the Messiah has arrived...

He's a very sick man. Watching that yesterday was chilling. He's a sick, dysfunctional, maladjust who became a two-term United States President. It's frightening.

Bush displays exceptional douchebaggery.

Summed up nicely. Yesterday's press conference was a real "eff you, America."

He's in complete denial. I really don't think I've known anyone like that, who remains so convinced of being right in spite of the many facts to the contrary. His arrogance is epic.

He's really just a total psycho...

I love that he plans to do a primetime farewell address. Why bother? Just go away guy.

For those inclined to defend Bush's record, the White House has put together some helpful materials titled "Highlights of Accomplishments and Results of the Administration of George W. Bush" and "100 Things Americans May Not Know About the Bush Administration Record."

A sampling includes:

After Hurricane Katrina President Bush kept our cities safe.

After the October 2008 stock market correction there have been no Great Depressions.

After Iraq and Afghanistan took a turn for the worse, President Bush kept us from losing any wars.

After the U.S. Attorney firing scandal, the outing of Valerie Plame and other scandals, President Bush restored integrity to government.

After divisive elections President Bush united our country.

After Abu Ghraib, President Bush reaffirmed America's adherence to the Geneva Conventions and against torture.

After 9/11 President Bush kept America safe from terrorist attacks on American soil.

"After the October 2008 stock market correction there have been no Great Depressions."

That list cannot be serious.

Someone must have hacked their site.

Just like Dixie.

That is technically accurate.

Just like:
Bush is the best president the USA has had for the last 8 years.
