Bud Light buying back unsold, expired beer from wholesalers as sales continue to suffer: report

Bud Light has reportedly informed wholesalers it would buy back unsold beer once it expires as the company continues to face backlash from its polarizing pact with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

The Wall Street Journal published a lengthy feature on the company’s struggles after conservatives across America have ditched Bud Light over the saga that began in March when Mulvaney publicized that the beer company sent packs of Bud Light featuring the influencer’s face as a way to celebrate a full year of "girlhood." Backlash was swift, and the promotion is now considered one of the most polarizing in the history of the digital space.

Now it seems parent company Anheuser-Busch is taking steps to help wholesalers who have taken a hit.

"The brewer recently told its wholesalers that it would buy back unsold cases of beer that have gone past their expiration date," the Wall Street Journal report.....

......Compared to a year ago, retail sales of Bud Light in the U.S. were down by 23.6% in the week ending on May 6, surpassing the 23.3% decline the brand saw in the last week of April, according to data from Bump Williams Consulting and NielsenIQ, cited by the New York Post.

Bud's should change it's slogan to "Bud, this beer isn't for you." Dyland Mulvaney is toxic. People do not like his mocking women. Budweiser is now being investigated for marketing their beer to children. Mulvaeny tries to appeal to kids he plays with Barbies and other dolls. It is time that Bud admits their mistake and fire their CEO to see if they care stop the bleeding.

I have said it before and I will say it again, Anheuser-Busch messed in their mess gear when they tried to sell Bud Light to beer drinkers using a trans freak.

They have seen the error of their ways and have returned to the beautiful Clydesdales commercials.

Where is the woman that originated the trans freak Bud commercials?

Do you want fries with that?

I thought it would have blown over also but it hasn’t in fact some analysts are saying this might be the biggest disaster in the history of advertising

They forgot that their customer base wasn’t woke liberals but it was guys who want to drink beer on Sunday while watching the game

Indeed.

Extended leave, better known as “fired.” She and her superior had no clue as to the customers of their product.

Zero.

Judging from the "ad guru's" comments, she knew who most of her customers were and she despised them as deplorables.

She is the Hillary Clinton of Beer.

Well, that kind of goes with being a Progressive Leftist which one can easily assume she is. Nothing but contempt for anyone who differs in opinion from their own while foisting fact free opinions from their end of things.

Bu Light's Alissa Heinerscheid, marketing VP for the brand since June 2022, has taken a leave of absence (fired) and her boss is on a leave of absence (fired).

If she gets thirsty, she can drink Bud Light. There's lot of it sitting in warehouses.

I will say it again. They did not do that.

I doubt this will "blow over" for a very long time. Once lost, it is difficult to regain.
Hopefully, this is a wake-up call to companies who hire based on trendiness and wokeness, and return to enriching what has already been established.
This whole thread belongs under the title "light at the end of a tunnel"

Or, another potential OP title: triggered snowflake transphobes succeed in ruining American company & cost fellow hard-working Americans their jobs.

goose, gander............pot, kettle........I find it quite amusing that leftists aren't fond of cancel culture when it's used against their agenda items.
