"The guy" who had the laptop didn't "find" it. He claims it was dropped off at his computer repair business and abandoned. After seeing what was on it gave the original computer to the FBI and kept a copy of the hard drive contents. If the FBI has the computer and this becomes known and public, and the drive contents match what this guy releasing, then there's considerable evidence he's telling the truth. If the FBI says they received the computer (there would be a chain of custody) and no longer can find or have it, then they are in deep dodo.
I would assume the guy that gave the FBI it has a receipt for it from them.
I also can't see some random guy having original photos of Hunter Biden, etc., (that were on the hard drive) along with the e-mails, etc., many of which he and outside of a very few people would have had knowledge of. That too lends credibility to his story. That is, he has / can show details that are completely new, revealing, and personal that he would have had no other reasonable means to acquire.
That the shop owner didn't know who Hunter was is quite reasonable. I doubt most people could pick him out of a line up of random guys.

I'd say on the whole, right now, this "guy" is far, far, more credible than the Steele dossier ever was.

Lets say Biden has a broken computer, under warranty, so could get it fixed for free. Instead, he travels 3,000 miles to a random conspiracy store owner who has no experience repairing Macs? This conspiracy theory is falling apart quickly.

I find it amazing how seamlessly the right moves from one conspiracy scandal to the next.

The conclusion earlier this week regarding unmasking - which had been portrayed as the "biggest scandal in history" - was a major embarrassment for Trump & Fox. But it took literally a day to move on to the next - and this one is even flimsier.

Did I say that? I don’t know if the photos are real or how they were obtained, I just know that hackers can obtain photos, emails and personal information. They can then edit those photos and emails, but I’m sure you know this and are just trolling.

Bullshit. A good hacker can get into a computer system. They can't manufacture photos from scratch and sure as hell cannot cover up a cut and paste photo that was made using something like photoshop. If they were manufacturing the e-mails, they'd need all the details, names, dates, locations, IP addresses, etc., to do that. Again, possible with one or two e-mails, not hundreds, and having to make up a large number of mundane unrelated e-mails on top of the incriminating ones.
Given the way businesses work today, if that laptop was manufactured by a larger company like Dell or Gateway, and sold through a vendor, the serial can be traced back to the original purchaser. If it's using a Microsoft operating system it's going to be registered to the buyer.

Computers are total rat bastards. If you know what you're doing on one, you can find out every last detail of what's been put on that machine since the day it was first turned on. If the FBI brings the laptop they were said to have been given forward, it's all she wrote. Either this is true or the guy is finished. That computer won't lie. It will rat one or the other out entirely and right now it looks like it's going to rat Hunter Biden and his family out big time.

I suspect that's the case even more so because Hunter doesn't impress me as some sort of computer geek. He seems more like the drug addled, drunken, rich, frat boy who's too stupid to realize how completely fucked up he really is.
