Breaking: Trump's Epic Meltdown

I disagree that it is racism. I would not join in a March promoting affirmative action. But if you are equating affirmative-action with neo-Nazis and KKK, you are sick .

I wouldn't join it either.

Would I show up to support the monuments---without joining the March?

That's a different question.

He made himself look more a fool than usual because he simply can't leave well enough alone. He got some praise for his second statement but turned around and wiped out all the good will with his thin-skinned rant.
He attacks McCain, again. He is thinnned skinned and obsessive. He then promoted his winery. Who could write this character, his disjointed thought process. I'm sitting here drinking, why not.

I wonder how his handlers feel right now?

They're earning their paychecks and then some!

Racism is the belief that one is better than another based on race. Affirmative action is giving advantages to people based on skin color because they don't have equal opportunity otherwise, that's not racist, it might be bad policy but it's not racist.

Of course it is racist because it advantages one group over another. That in and of itself is racist

It presumes that there is no way they can overcome obstacles put in their way. Why do you think they can't?

We sure have a lot more racist and people who are willing to tolerate racists in this country than I thought we did.
Oh really? How many notches on your bloody baseball bat do YOU have? How many klansmen have YOU sent to hell? Just as I thought. You're just another arm chair commando. Why are you willing to tolerate racists in this country? Just kidding, you can't do anything about it. You're a fool if you think you can.

I watched the clip. I wouldn't characterize it as a meltdown---more like Trump giving it back to the media.

He made several good points: one is the 'alt-left' should be ostracized by the left and they're not. Another was regarding the monuments---Trump asked the reporter if Jeffersons monument should be taken down, since TJ was a 'major slave owner'.

There was no answer.

Both were very good points that needed to be made. Politically, I don't know if it's a hill worth dying on because the media will mangle his words and have Trump being a racist. Again.

He does well to call them 'fake news'.

There is no such thing as the Alt Left - that is made up by the racist right to justify their racism.

This isn't about slave owners, it's about the confederate traitors who lost the civil war.

They fought to keep slavery and lost.

Only the small minded thinks this is about slave owners.

None of his points were valid nor good. More lies and ignorance.

no he is not overestimating anything,so you are calling me a racist because i voted for the president, you are the racist hull.

No one cares whether you individually are a white supremacist, a racist or whatever reaction you have. The person you responded to stated generally, 'the people who support white supremacists, which are now without a doubt the face of Trump's presidency.'
That you went out of your way to state, 'so you are calling "me" (Indicating you individually) because you voted for Trump' actually indicates you are self accusing. That you fail to see that based on going out of your way to respond is the part that's most interesting. It indicates you are defensive & are probably the core example you are running away from, yourself.

Trump has just had an epic meltdown, where he basically withdrew (certainly demolished) his previous remarks and launched into an epic defense of Robert E. Lee, white culture, and the Alt Right.

I don't know how he survives this, but maybe I am just of limited imagination.

Republicans were wise to hitch their wagon to Trump's star.

In my wildest dreams did I never imagine a United States president this unhinged, this incompetent, and this undisciplined. George Dumbya looks like a true statesman in comparison, and that is really saying something, mate!

I plan on spending at least the next decade painting the GOP as the Party of George Dumbya, Donald Trump, the Iraq War Disaster, and the Great Recession of 2008!
