I didn't realize Neil Young walked on the moon, although apparently Sting did.

It would be a crime if he were not to be honored with a State funeral at our nations capital. I can think of no civilian more deserving.

I was serving in Vietnam, when they landed on the moon!

I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the Earth. JFK and we did it!

I was sitting in my grandparents living room in Bellefountain St in Wapakoneta, OH. Walked over to Armstrongs parents house later that day to watch the TV crews interview his parents.
 
This is the loss of one of my childhood heroes. I remember the moonlanding even though I was only 3. As I got older, I had a plastic space helmet with a picture of Armstrong on it and a battery operated lunar module. He was a great man and took a great risk going to the moon. God Speed Neil Armstrong.
 
I saw an amazing message from the family of Neil Armstrong.

"For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink."
