I have had that experience, as a prosecutor, where the judge thinks your plea agreement is too lenient, it sucks.

Judge asked Flyn 3x times if he wanted to remove his pleas - and then said he doesn't want to convict someone who didn't commit a crime -
WTF do you think that was about?? Coercion by Mueller to plea is the only thing that fits.

The "treason thing" was a misunderstanding by the judge - he completely walked it back

The only way this makes sense - why the judge was sympathetic -then got mad after 3 tries of trying to get Flynn
to remove, is that Flynn would not do what Sullivan wanted him to do. which is withdrawal.

Flynn needs to get this over with. he's out of work and sold his house.
He can't ASK the judge "will you squash the plea deal?"

so they both have different motives, and while the judge wanted him to recant -Flynn is too scared to roll any dice.
Take the no jail time and MoveOn

If the judge thinks there was no crime ( Flynn lied but because of the Mueller egregious behavior) -he would not want to sentence a guilty man
 
The problem for Flynn though is he filed the info on the 302 and then backed off on it in court.
The judge went out on a limb for Flynn requesting the 302. But Flynn then would not back up his filing
Which pisses off the judge

don't you find it appalling, a Judge born in 1947, who obviously somehow skipped serving in Vietnam, has the nerve to talk down to a decorated Lieutenant General, who served in three theaters, an American hero. Telling the General he holds disdain and disgust for him.

As if he knows anything about serving his country, or what it takes to risk life and limb for our freedom, siting there in his black robe to the tune of mid six figure tax payer funded nothingness. And he is a civil rights num-nuts judge to boot

Letting this traitor off so easy is apparently not going to fly. But Mueller/the FBI have gone about making the recommendation for leniency in a way that will spin politically in their favour and that's their objective. Now Flynn can be dealt with more harshly and more appropriately while the blame for taking down a General isn't thrown onto the shoulders of Mueller.

Flynn was obviously acting as a traitor to his country and the most appropriate punishment would be lethal injection. Sadly, he'll get away with it and get off much easier than that.

Besides the punishment, the Mueller/FBI team should take precaustions to never allow Flynn to get back in any position of responsibility!
