BREAKING - Horrible employment report just out - Only 38,000 jobs created in May

Joe Biden - "Time to put Trump in the bullseye."
And since Obozo is a pathological liar, that means the real number is more like minus 100,000. Estimates called for 160,000 new jobs in may.

The U.S. labor market lost momentum last month; however, economists have been anticipating a skewed number because of the strike from Verizon workers. Friday, the U.S. Labor Department said 38,000 jobs were created in May, massively below consensus forecasts, which were expecting to see 159,000 jobs. Economists were expecting the Verizon labor dispute to cut about 35,000 jobs in last month’s payrolls. While Verizon employees went back to work Wednesday, they were considered unemployed in April because they did not receive a salary. The unemployment rate fell to, up from 4.7% reported in March. Economists were expecting to see a slight drop to 4.9%

Remember it's "seasonally adjusted" so the real number could just be -100k.
No matter how you shake it, it's way low. But with sub 1% growth it's hardly surprising.
More bad news for Sanders or whoever gets the dem nomination. The pendulum is taking a bigger swing by the day.

Unemployment at 4.9% and whiners with ODS will COMPLAIN!

Funny, they didn't compain about 4.9% unemployment under Bush II?

Actually unemployment dropped to 4.7%. Not surprising though someone who doesn't understand economics thinks this drop is a good thing.

Yet now that Obama has brought the unemployment numbers back down, you whine about how "horrible" the economy is.

not true.....I've been pointing out that the economy sucked ever since Obama took over......it just that you liberals didn't dare say anything except "Bush's fault" for the first seven years......

If the economy sucked when Obama took over then it WAS Bush's fault.

Odd how JPP Righties can't admit such an obvious fact.

Another shining example of the ol Tightie Rightie double standard.

He brought the numbers down by driving the percentage of people in the workforce hugely down. That is a direct result of a brain dead economy. You will recall GDP is a whopping .8%.

yes.....2000 and 2004.....do you recall how the economy looked in 2004?.......are you going to pretend it was bad?......

Um, pretty clearly, the foundations of it were poor.

You remember '08, right? The biggest crash in our lifetimes? I guess that happened overnight, and that Bush was just a bystander...

Yeah I remember....and I can promise you, I would not have voted for Bush in 2008......of course I wouldn't have voted for the Democratically controlled Congress that took over in 2006 either.....as you may recall, frustration with the last two years of Bush and the Democrats is what created the Tea Party......

remember when Bush suggested pulling in the reins of Fannie and Freddy in 2005 and Barney Franks and the Democrats of the House accusing him of racism for even saying there were risks involved with overextending credit?......

Pimp has sold his soul to the Trump/republican party.
He has thrown away all his morals.
You should never expect anything even resembling honesty from him.

compared to Obama?.....hell yes.......I wish we could go back to the December, 2008 economy and have a do over........doesn't everyone?.....

 Yes, we want to live through that free fall again.
