While filling the holes with BP execs is the best idea I've heard in the last month, my solution is better. Simply have BP "sell" gas for free until the leaks are contained. If they're willing to just give out oil, I figure I should get free gas.

Well there is plenty of it in the Gulf, fill your boots!

Shell is the gas station I fill up at, since its been in the neighborhood I grew up in for about 5 or 6 years. As such, I have a Shell credit card.

Shell is a jointly owned British/Dutch company, so there is even more scope for xenophobia.

After a quick Wiki check, it turns out that after Texaco merged into Chevron, Shell somehow came up with the rights to the Texaco brand, which is why the Texaco by my home became a Shell station. Chevron has since recovered the brand, and due to its remaining popularity in the US, has opened numerous Texacos, and created the Techron fuel blend. Apparently Texaco is also big in the UK, with over 1100 stations and brand recognition, so expect to see them remain standing over there as well.

Also, if every Texaco had shut down, there wouldn't be any left by 2015, where Marty McFly distinctly came into contact with a station!!
