Pretending anyone 'watching the movie' is not important just shows how stupid you are.

Investors do not invest in movies thinking 'i am ok if nobody wants to see it and the only way it has any chance to make any money is because for political reasons it gets bulk sale tickets'.

At best that is a good consolotion prize and a reason to not invest in the next movie by this group.

And in this case the investor is Bezos who over paid and seems to have no chance to make any money on this, even with the bulk ticket buys that will only make it look LESS like a disaster for stupid people who do not look below the surface and know they were bulk buys with no people attending.

The right has lots of super wealthy on top of the party. They have always bought the horrible books right-wing pundits wrote in huge numbers. Then you see them for sale on eBay or given away at rallies. The pundits brag about the book's success and rightys cllaim it proves people back them. We knew it would happen bigly with Melania's crap movie. There were many, many empty seats in theaters. Several cancelled the showing due to a lack of interest. Bezos and other billionaires spend many millions preserving the illusion.

The pic is galvanizing conservatives in the South and South-central part of the country, and specifically older females over the age of 55, who made up 72 percent of the opening-day audience.
