So what if he did buy the gun same day, what does that have to do with anything! I guess those more stringent gun measures just passed didn't work!

nobody EVER said it was a magic solution. EVERYBODY has said it's a tool that makes things EQUAL!!!!!!! or at the very least, gives people a fucking chance. stop being stupid

Which stringent gun measures just passed?

Apparently they weren't very stringent.

If the law required a 30 day wait between the time of filling out and submitting the application and the actual purchase/delivery of the firearm, maybe some of these kooks would cool down and/or reconsider their plans.

I'd be OK with a 60 or 90 day waiting period.
