Both sides agree on what trump's next two steps are, but I am not so sure

It is weird to see so much agreement in predictions about trump. The disagreements seem to be about whether it is a good thing or not.

The first step would be for trump to purge both the military, and the Justice Department. trump supporters seem to think this will involve killing people, where as everyone else thinks it just involves firing people. After there is no one to keep to the law, the next step is to send the army into the streets to round up millions to be put into concentration camps without trial. The common refrain is "you cannot prove some are American citizens", but that is only because there is no trial to be allowed to prove it. In theory, if a country can be found to take the millions, they will be released from the concentration camps, but we saw how well that worked in WWII.

trump has never had the guts to go through with his crazy schemes, so that gives me hope. It might not come to be.

Purging is totally different than killing. I haven't heard anyone on the right suggest that anyone at this current administration be killed. BTW, have you seen where some 8 or so Trump picks for his upcoming administration have had death threats against them? Lets not forget that Trump had two assignation attempts on him, and recently they jailed a guy for his threat to kill Trump.
Lets not also forget about the death threat against a top Republican supreme court justice, and the shooting of a Republican congressman at a baseball or softball game.

It can mean killing, or mass firing. When we start talking about treason trials by secret committee, with no appeals, that usually involves killing. The punishment for treason is death.

There does seem to be a variety of possible types of purges they are talking about, and I mentioned that in the original post.

I haven't heard anyone on the right suggest that anyone at this current administration be killed.

Worth noting that "the purge" would not be of anyone in the current administration. It would be of the military and justice non-political staffs. They would then be replaced by politically compliant appointees that would allow the suspension of the Constitution.

The current administration will be out of government in January. No point in "purging" them.

The purge is going to be exactly for those in the current administration...especially the political staffs of the ineffective anti American military and justice staffs. Does the Afghanistan withdrawal and the 4 years of injustice department of lawfare against Trump ring a bell? And those are only 2 of the many disastrous actions by those two political entities.

The current administration will be out of government in January. No point in "purging" them.

Firing people sounds so simple. It is if you ignore evaluations and the rights of workers. Civil service workers have rights and job protections too. Mass firing would be so wrong.

Well, trump does say he will suspend the Constitution, so what is suspending a mere law by comparison?
