Fact is Clinton did far more than simply agree to pursue NAFTA if elected. He was full blown in support of it from the get-go. And NAFTA is not the only trade agreement signed under Clinton. Try looking at the histories of SAFTA (1995) and CEMAC (1999). Are you going to claim those were republican inventions, only brought to being by Clinton?

And while most (but not all) democratic senators voted against NAFTA, the majority was not huge. Try to remember, 1993 dems still controlled congress. It was relatively early in Clinton's administration, and he still had them eating out of his hand. So much for you memory of events. (ie: selective so you don't have to acknowledge the fuckups of your beloved donkeys.) And I won't even mention your complete ignorance of congressional involvement with treaty negotiations - which is little to none. They ratify. A few on certain committees may have some input, but the majority of negotiations is an executive power. (try reading the Consitution. It is very clear.) Amazing what happens to real thought when one wears a donkeys ass for head gear.

I think we all agree in hindsight that NAFTA is and was a bad idea, now if we can just move forward, which seems to be where both the parties are having problems and find a way to bring jobs back to the USA!

What a load of crap... they pale in comparison to the damage done by the repeal of Glass Steagall and the subsequent bailouts and stimulus and the ever expanding federal budget.

I think we were getting sick before that, but I feel that the wars and the ridiculous military spending do not get enough attention in this country. There are so many superpatriots that they don't want to mess with that out of control behemouth!

It isn't just the Obama deception, George Bush was all about the corporations, too, Obama is just continuing the status quo and they make all us dunderheads think there are two parties are they are fighting for the USA and the average people, well, I now know, we only fool ourselves. There isn't much real difference between the two, not anymore. It is all about the money.

Cow-towing to the left, letting THEM frame the debate, and responding to their absolute lunacy, with some kind of conciliatory "let's all get along" attitude! Caving on the issue before it's even an issue, and letting them know you're willing to cave, to get along! What the fuck is the matter with Bonher? Does he not understand how pissed off conservatives are? Does he not understand what conservatism is?

Why didn't he turn the question back around on that goofy idiot, and ask him... since when do we consider some people more valuable than others? When did we establish the proposition that no rich man is equal? And when did we define "rich?" The truth is, we've let these pinhead fuckwits get away with this shit for too long, and this was a classic example of how they've managed to pull it off. Establishment Republicans who lack the balls to stand up for core conservative values, and pop these assholes square in their fucking idiot mouths, with conviction and fearlessness. Mr. Bohner, you don't have to be ashamed of conservatism, you don't have to apologize for wealthy people being wealthy. All you have to do, is grow a set of balls, and stand up to these Socialists!
