Boehner

Boehner should have gone, with the Executive Branch represented by the President, the Judicial Branch represented by a Supreme Court Judge, the Speaker of the House should have attneded. Pelosi attended and Giffords did not even vote for her for minority leader.

I could not find any rule against it and I am sure if there was a rule, the administration would not have asked him to fly. They are claiming it was because he wanted to be in DC with the rest of the House and could not be two places at once, and that is legit, but for gawd sakes, use your head, it doesn't look good that you then attend a fundraiser! These guys just blow my mind! Right or wrong, it looks BAD!

You look bad frog- He attended a pre-scheduled fundraiser-get over it.

I note you said nothing about this:

CNN: Boehner: Bipartisan prayer service can be 'source of solace'
Congress has responded to the Saturday shootings of 19 people, including U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, with a "collective embrace" rather than a "torrent of accusations," House Speaker John Boehner said at a bipartisan congressional prayer service Wednesday. "Our nation mourns for the victims. It yearns for peace. And it thirsts for answers," the Ohio representative said in his welcome statement at the service, according to a transcript of his remarks. The service, held for members of Congress, their spouses and some staffers, was not open to the public.

Yeah, he led a private non-dog and pony show earlier Wed.

Why is it, the LEFT continues to POLITICIZE this tragedy, and exploit it for political gain? I don't understand it... can you people just not stop yourselves anymore? Did you not listen to the president's speech last night? Do you think it doesn't apply to liberals? What is the deal here? A nine-year-old little girl, who was born on 9/11, was murdered! A Federal Judge as well, a Congresswoman is in the hospital in critical condition, others died as well... And all you lowlifes can do, is continue to try and make political hay and score points off the tragedy! Can we not just drop the politics for a few days on this? Please?

You do put words into people's mouths, I am done with you, I will not participate in one of your tailspins.

i didn't put words in your mouth, you expressly said it was bad for boehner to go to a fundraiser....i then asked if it was bad for obama to go back to work after the fundraiser....you said no, that is different, not like fundraising...you later said that when obama fundraises, he is working

tell me how i put words in your mouth...you and zappa have this weird thing where you just claim something, don't back it up and then run away....

?????.....what evidence would that be?......

Todd Palin Was Registered Member of Alaska Independence Party Until 2002
By Kate Klonick - September 2, 2008, 3:25PM

The McCain camp today disputed rumors that presumptive vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin was ever registered with the secessionist Alaska Independence Party by releasing years of voter registration history . . . but it looks like that doesn't apply to her husband.

This afternoon, the director of Division of Elections in Alaska, Gail Fenumiai, told TPMmuckraker that Todd Palin registered in October 1995 to the Alaska Independence Party, a radical group that advocates for Alaskan secession from the United States.

Besides a short period of a few months in 2000 when he changed his registration to undeclared, Todd Palin remained a registered member of AIP until July 2002 when he registered again as an undeclared voter.

Well gee...when a paragon of civility like ol Dix here makes a plea for civility, what can ya do??

Maybe...laugh in the bomb throwing, partisan hack's face and tell him...

So in other words, from your perspective, there isn't going to be any change in dialogue or tone of discourse? All of what the president said last night, means nothing to you, as you fully intend to move forward with as much vitriol as ever, and continue to use inflammatory rhetoric to make your points? All of this week's "talk" from pinheads about the need to tone down the rhetoric, that was all a bunch of absolute bullshit, and didn't mean a thing?

Great Zapped, I am glad you went on record stating that! If I had dared to accuse you people of being disingenuous, you would have criticized me to no end for it, and I would have even had the libertarian pinheads yapping at my heels telling me to give you all the benefit of the doubt with this... So I am glad you cleared that up for us.

Oh my heavens, have I upset your plans for some sort of "civilitopia"??

Pardon my cavalier attitude, but maybe it was the fact that you spent the entire day doing business the same old Dixie way, belittling and demeaning and not a once did you make any noise about "Civility".

Then suddenly, in the middle of the night, when you've had and full, long day of derisively calling others "fucktard" and "Chicklet" do you put out your feeble missive for some "civility".

You want civility?

Like I said a couple posts ago...

AFTER YOU...

Oh, you didn't upset MY plans, you merely contradicted what President Obama said last night at the memorial, and confirmed that liberals don't mean a damn word of this "civility" talk they've been yammering for the past week. As I correctly pointed out, as soon as the "tone of rhetoric" complaints began from the left, all you people want is for the right to shut up! This wasn't about objectively looking at how we treat each other, this was about silencing the right in political discourse, and nothing more. You don't give a damn about the families who lost loved ones in Arizona, you don't give two shits about the facts surrounding the shooting, or the shooter, all you really care about, is scoring a political point or two, and working to silence the right's political speech. That's what this whole charade from the left has been about, and you have just exposed it in all it's naked glory... THANK YOU for that moment of candid honesty!

and that's it?....shucks there's better evidence than that showing Obama's Kenyan and we know how you feel about that claim.....read your own post, the only thing you have about Sarah Palin is "rumors" ......

You've got something the credible world accepts that shows Obama's "Kenyan roots"?

Then lets see it...

As for Palin's ties to secessionists...

From Factcheck.org:

"Palin was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party – which calls for a vote on whether Alaska should secede from the union or remain a state – despite mistaken reports to the contrary. But her husband was a member for years, and she attended at least one party convention, as mayor of the town in which it was held.

The party's chair originally told reporters that Palin had been a member, but the official later retracted that statement. Chairwoman Lynette Clark told the New York Times that false information had been given to her by another member of the party after she first told the Times and others that Palin joined the AIP in 1994. Clark issued an apology on the AIP Web site.

The director of Alaska’s Division of Elections, Gail Fenumiai, told FactCheck.org that Palin’s husband, Todd, was registered with AIP from October 1995 to July 2000, and again from September 2000 until July 2002. (He has since been registered as undeclared.)"

I understand you just can't bring yourself to admit you are wrong...don't worry...it's now skin off my nose.

You've got something the credible world accepts that shows Obama's "Kenyan roots"?
no, that was the point...but as for having "more", at least the birther's have his grandmother's statement.....

"Palin was never a member of the Alaskan Independence Party
thanks, case closed....

I understand you just can't bring yourself to admit you are wrong
????...excuse me......didn't you just admit I was right?....
