Blasio using his power to silence to Chick-Fil-A?

what an arse....De Blasio is loathsome in so many ways..now he's the PC mayor micro-manager..

Here's an idea..fix the potholes -do what you were elected to do..

All I saw on Fox was Comrade de Blasio had called for a boycott. He's perfectly at liberty to do that. If he intends to misuse his office, then that's a problem. I wonder if the restaurant will start operating on CP Time to appease him?

you don't see an issue with an elected official calling for boycotts of companies based upon his own personal preferences?

He's the mayor of everybody, not just homophobes.

exactly, which means he shouldn't be recommending or endorsing anything based upon a person or business' viewpoints. You would be upside down if an elected official endorsed boycotts of anything that supported abortion or illegal immigration.

damn right she would, it'd be all about discrimination then

Yep. Calls for boycotting liberals like the Dixie Chicks are bad and against free speech. But calls by a Mayor, a public official, head of the police department, operating under the color of law and using his bully pulpit, to boycott a business who apparently believes differently than they do, is great.

How come there is no option to thank your post?
