Blankenship found guilty

One for the good guys, more prosecutions are needed and maybe industry will think twice about short cuts that endanger workers.

I was thrilled with the verdict. That arrogant POS should have gotten more than a year in prison.

This is an example of what goes on in the US everyday, sleazy people trying to game the system. And in this case 29 people died, twice as many as in San Bernardino but the righties will ignore it because Blankenship's a rich old white man.

I hope he gets some serious time too!

I know! Those men had terrible deaths and Blankenship's probably in a country club institution.

he wont be sentenced till next spring. He is facing a MAX 1 year in jail. He'll probably get way less.. maybe a handful of months and he'll be out even sooner for good behavior. He is also facing a 250k fine (max... probably will be lower) which he can easily pay.

lmao the takers lose again

"Blankenship is facing a maximum fine of $250,000 and a sentence of one year in prison on the misdemeanor conspiracy charge. He’ll be sentenced this spring."

Hmmm....

Hmmm....

Its a start, there was a time would he would not have even been tried.

In my many years in industrial maintenance and equipment installation I have shut down more than one job. NOBODY gets avoidably hurt or killed on one of MY jobs. That is priority number ONE. Was I removed from some of the gigs? Of course. Did unnecessary accidents, injuries and even deaths happen after I left? Of course. To some, an expected failure is a success. FUCK THEM!!!!!!!!!!
